We are a Guide Dogs for the Blind chapter in Bryan/College Station, Texas. Please contact us for more information on how you can join our mission!

Guide Dogs for the Blind – College Station are proud to raise guide dog puppies for the largest guide dog school in North America. Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) provides exceptional guide dogs for individuals who are blind or low vision. GDB does not charge for its services and receives no government funding. Raisers in our club receive their guide dog puppy at approximately eight weeks old, and the pup will return to one of GDB’s campuses for formal training between 15 and 17 months old. We are responsible for teaching the puppies good manners and basic obedience. Puppy raisers can have other pets in their home and if you are not able to commit to raising a puppy full time, there are still other ways to get involved with our local puppy club, such as puppy sitting. And, GDB's puppy raising program complements many FFA, 4H, home schooling, high school, and college programs.

Eddie is offically a college boy! His raiser Rylee flew to California this week to drop off this sweet boy. We are so proud of the work that was poured into this sweet boy and can’t wait to cheer him on! Go Eddie, go!

Our pups had so much fun being models for a christmas photo booth! They got to take pictures with others and get dressed up! They all did so good and had so much fun meeting new people!

Our pups had so much fun at Trunk or Treat!! They all got to be dressed up as farm animals and get pet by everyone who came to our trunk! All the pups and raisers did amazing!

This months meeting was super fun! We got to work with and it was such a good experience for our pups! thank you to Big Brothers Big sisters for wanted to be apart of our meeting! The pups worked on good greetings, body sensitivity, loose leash walking and holding a down. They all did amazing!

Our pups and raisers had so much fun at our annual pumpkin patch outing! The pups got to work on lose leash walking, dog distraction and appropriate petting behavior. They all did amazing as well as our raisers!

Europa is back in Texas! She decided that being a guide dog wasn’t her path but luckily this sweet girl got adopted by her raiser! We are so excited that her raiser Corynne got to adopt her and this girl will be living her best life! She’s also the perfect roll model for Natalie and Neal!

Sweet Button got selected to be a k9 buddy and graduated a few weekends ago! She’s now living her best life in Texas with her handler. Brooke and Macie did such an amazing job raising this sweet girl!
