Miracles for McKayla Updates on McKayla’s battle with an extremely rare cancer called epithelioid hemangioendothelioma.

11/04/2025

It’s been a bit since I’ve updated anything on McKayla. There’s not many new things going on right now. We basically have done nothing but go to St. Jude, come home, go to St. Louis, come home, go to St. Jude, come home, and so on. 😩 This will be going on for a while. In between all that, we make every softball game we can, tend to our own dr & dentist appts, & live life as normal as we can! McKayla is still fighting cancer but her liver is still functioning beautifully. 🥹 She has some bad days but a lot of good days. Keeping up with everything is basically a full time job but it’s a huge blessing that I’m able to do it. Her heart has been doing somewhat better. Her cardiologist says he don’t want to add a beta blocker right now since she’s already on so many medications on top of her chemos, so he wants to just keep an eye on it, and if it comes to that,so be it. We leave early next week heading back to St. Louis. McKayla has been iffy about flying so I have to rent a car & drive every time we go. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Its a beautiful drive at least but it’s a very long drive. It makes driving back & forth to Memphis seem like a breeze.

As far as my stuff goes, I’ve recently had my follow up appt, mammogram, & ultrasound. The mass is still there but it hasn’t grown or changed very much so my dr says it’s still looking benign..we’re gonna just keep keeping on an eye on it.

Thank you so much to those of you that are still following & supporting this long journey. We love y’all so much!!!
