We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Jennie Joseph and all she has poured into this work. Her leadership has helped so many people think differently about what safe, respectful maternity care should look like, and we are humbled that she will be sharing her story and research with our community.

Join us for Your Passport to Perinatal Power: Simple Steps for Safer Birthing on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET. This free virtual conversation will explore what safer care can and should look like before birth, during birth, and throughout the postpartum months.

It is impossible to talk about safer births without recognizing the work of Rep. Lauren Underwood and the Black Maternal Health Momnibus. This comprehensive legislation is helping move maternal safety from conversation to action.

We are excited to welcome Congresswoman Underwood as she kicks off Safer Births Now, our Virtual Maternal Health Fair.

📆 April 2 at 6 PM ET. Virtual. Free.

➡️ Register: bit.ly/Rep_Underwood

Rep. Underwood will share how the Momnibus creates a blueprint for maternal safety, what progress looks like right now, and what it will take across policy, clinical practice, and community partnerships to prevent preventable harm.

Whether you are expecting, a new mom, or someone who cares for her, this conversation is for you.

The trope of the absent Black father is not supported by the evidence. The reality is that many Black men are deeply present, nurturing, and committed to their children.

That truth deserves to be seen and amplified.

Which is why this conversation matters.

Join us for Fathers for Safer Births: Men Shifting Birth Culture, where men will talk about fatherhood from the very beginning. From the moment a pregnancy begins. From the day a child enters the world. And from the role fathers can play in creating safer births and healthier families. ➡️Register bit.ly/Dad_Love

Scroll social media on any given day and the misinformation is nonstop. Confusion about vaccines. Bad pregnancy advice packaged as “expert.” Fear, myths, and half truths that can put real people at risk.

Some invitations are just calendar noise. This one is a little different.

All Together Now: Care. Connection. Community. is a live reset for Black women who are used to holding it all together. For one evening, you are not the strong one, the fixer, or the backup plan. You are the one being held.

We are bringing together something special
Two Black women physicians who see the whole you:
Dr Joy Baker, an OB with deep expertise in perinatal emotional health
and
Dr Chyna Hill of The Black Girls Mental Health Foundation, a psychologist grounded in Black women’s mental wellness.

This is not another “how to do more” session. It is a guided pause. A chance to check in with your body, tell the truth about how you are really doing, and hear from expert voices who understand the weight you carry and the joy you still want to feel.

For one night, we will:

* trade the “strong Black woman” script for honest conversation
* explore what real care could look like for you this year
* remember that community is something we can build on purpose

If your spirit has been whispering that something has to change, consider this your sign.

Join us for All Together Now and leave with one or two grounding practices you can take into the rest of 2026, and the reminder that you never have to carry all of this by yourself.

2026 has been life lifing a little too hard. The news is heavy, the group chats stay busy, and some days it feels like you are carrying three different storms in one body and still expected to smile. But who is holding you.

Join these powerhouse women for an honest, nonjudgmental conversation about care, connection, and community: Dr Joy Baker and Dr Chyna Hill of The Black Girls Mental Health Foundation.

Together we will challenge the stereotypes placed on Black women and our emotional well being, talk frankly about what we are carrying, name where connection already lives and where it is missing, and claim community as something we intentionally build and choose.

Join us and leave more grounded, more connected, and more committed to your own wellbeing.

Alright, let’s settle a few things because these myths have been running around like they pay rent.

Myth #1: “If I don’t drop a big donation, it doesn’t count.”
Truth: Please?! Every gift matters. Ten dollars, twenty-five, two-fifty — it all helps us keep this work moving.

Myth #2: “Y’all must be living off these donations.”
Truth: Not even close. We are fully volunteer-led. CEO, Executive Director, program leads — everybody is giving their time, not taking a salary.

Myth #3: “If I missed Giving Tuesday, I might as well wait till next year.”
Truth: Nope. Your support matters today, tomorrow, and any day you feel moved to give. No special holiday required.

When you support Birthing the Magic Collaborative, you help keep our guidance free, culturally grounded, and accessible to Black women and the families who love them.

Long story short: Your giving fuels the work — not the people.
