With all that is going on it can be hard to find the positive and challenging to make the most out of the day given to me. There are definitely days I struggle more than others, but being that I have a 9 yr old daughter that is also impacted I feel I need to do my best and lead by example.

I have started writing down 5 things I am grateful for everyday to help put things in perspective for me. It may sound silly to some of you, but you’d be surprised as to the impact it can make on your day.

Today, especially, we take the time to remember all those who lost their lives, those who lost loved ones and those who gave their lives.

I was not in New York that day, but I so vividly remember waking up to this all happening on TV. I fell asleep with the TV on that night and when I woke up that morning and saw this all happening I thought it was a movie so I changed the channel, but it was the same thing on every channel. I couldn’t believe what was happening as I watched in horror, tears streaming down my face.

I think of this day often and not just today, but as we move forward in life it’s important that 9/11 is memorialized so we never forget and to teach future generations, like my daughter, about this day that changed all of our lives forever

Happy Monday and Labor Day!
How did you spend your Labor Day weekend?!

I had low key weekend, since I honestly wasn’t that motivated to do much, but today I kicked off a new round of mbf. I didn’t have my ropeless jump rope the first time around so I wanted the full experience again! As you can see I already have made improvements in the weight I am able to use in just 3 short weeks. This kind of progress definitely helps keep the motivation alive!

Let me know if you want to join in the fun! I am excited because my accountability group has kicked off today, but it’s not too late to join. It’s never too late ☺️

Happy Monday!
I am proud to say I doubled up my workouts today to make up for missing Friday and get back on track with my MBF schedule/routine.
For the record this is not typical behavior. For me Monday’s are like many people’s Sunday’s when it comes to exercise and what I mean by that is I am finding I like Monday’s to be my lower key days where I rest or do my stretching/recovery. They are mentally challenging for me because it’s that in between of saying goodbye to the weekend and facing the reality that is the school/work week. Basically my body is present for a 5 day work week, but my brain only works a 4 day week 😂.

Happy Saturday!
So yesterday was a crazy day and I didn’t get my workout in :( I am a little disappointed, but I have to be ok with that and move on.
This morning I got an early start to my day and got my superfoods in to fuel body and then my workout (yesterday’s) before my daughter and I got on the road for the day.
I am not a morning person so I really don’t enjoy working out first thing, but even though it’s harder for me I am really glad I got it in today. ❤️

Well I got my butt handed me today and I know I am going to be feeling it tomorrow! I am already ready for bed 😴. Regardless... SO GLAD I DID IT!.
By getting my workouts in everyday I am honoring myself and the commitment I have made to myself and continue to make to myself. I can’t be the best version of myself without taking care of myself.

One of the main things helping me stay on track is the accountability group I am apart of. Grant it I already went on about a 1 month hiatus before participating in this August group, but it is becoming so much a part of my routine it does help give me an extra push to ensure I get that workout in. I check in with a fun group each day and we are there to support each other. Sometimes that little extra is what we need to help stay on our game.
I enjoy having a group so much I decided to host a group starting Sept 7th and would love for you to join me! DM me if you are interested
