“Pretty, isn’t it? Just a little glass rose.
Looks harmless — delicate even.
But you’d be shocked at what it can hold.

Not only can you fit a precious, cute rose inside these glass tubes.. you can also fit your vehicle, your home, every dollar you have, your friends, your children, your husband/wife, your dreams and aspirations, even every piece of you soul.

It all fits.
And with one inhale… it’s gone.
No flames, no crash — just the quiet theft of everything you are.

Most would tell you to think twice, but I won’t. Because there’s nothing to think about.
The price is real, and it’s higher than you could ever afford.

📣 Meet Jarad — A Fresh Start Begins Today

This is Jarad. He just completed inpatient treatment last week and made the brave decision to move into Malibu House to begin rebuilding his life after losing everything to active addiction.

When Jarad arrived, he had no birth certificate, no social security card, no ID, no phone, no food, no money — not even a change of clothes. But what he does have is determination, courage, and a clean slate.

Right now, what Jarad needs most is a phone — even an old one — so he can begin making calls to get his vital documents, follow up on job applications, and take his next steps toward stability and self-sufficiency.

We’ve reached out to the usual community resources but unfortunately, they aren’t able to help with a phone for at least two weeks. And Jarad can’t afford to wait that long.

🙏 Do you have an old phone laying around? One that could help someone make job calls, receive interviews, and reconnect with life?

If you’re able to help Jarad out by donating a phone to him please message us directly or drop it off at Malibu House. Every little bit counts.

This 4th of July, we had over 30 residents, alumni, and neighbors come together for a Malibu House Community BBQ — filled with laughter, connection, and some seriously good food. 🍔🌽🍉

🎉 Big Win for Crispy Chris! 🚗💪

We’re so proud of our guy Chris — or as we call him around here, Crispy — who just passed his driver’s test and got his first-ever license at 28 years old! 🙌

Crispy shared, “I’m 28 years old and finally just got my license for the first time.”

Since coming to Malibu House 5 months ago, he’s made incredible progress. He’s holding down a good job, staying consistent, and this week, he picked up his 6-month sobriety chip. 💙🔥

Moments like this are what recovery is all about — growth, milestones, and second chances. Let’s hear it for Crispy and his continued journey forward!
