Every parent deserves to make infant feeding choices free from corporate commercial interests.
A new report from the National Academies finds that Baby-Friendly designation is the ⭐️ #1 recommendation⭐️ for strengthening U.S. compliance with the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes in the United States.
💡 Why? Because Baby-Friendly designated facilities:
✅ Fully comply with the Code
✅ Follow all World Health Assembly resolutions
Today, 1 in 4 U.S. births happen in Baby-Friendly hospitals. Expanding BFHI means universal Code compliance — care free from commercial influence.
⚖️ Equity matters: Families from marginalized groups are less likely to give birth in facilities that support breastfeeding. Growing BFHI helps close that gap.
