The ancient practice of sound meditation taps into the power of sound vibrations to soothe the mind, relax the body, and bring about a sense of inner peace.

One of the primary ways sound meditation helps ease tension in the body is by inducing a state of deep relaxation. As you immerse yourself in harmonious sounds, breathing tends to slow down, heart rate decreases, and muscle tension begins to dissipate. This physiological response is akin to the relaxation response triggered by practices like yoga or mindfulness meditation.

It’s common for us to want to quickly move past uncomfortable thoughts or sensations when in reality the discomfort you’re faced with is highlighting exactly what needs your attention.

I love a sauna sesh when I feel I have a lot to process because it forces me to be in discomfort.

As the physical discomfort increases with the heat, so do incessant thoughts. The practice is to witness and be curious about what’s coming up.

Pay attention to what your inner voice and body communicates to you when discomfort arises, whether that be in a sauna, whilst pushing yourself during a workout or on a meditation mat.

Our greatest teachings are oftentimes hidden in the pain points we do our best to avoid. 🎯

Sound healing session for me, myself and I 👑

I played the bowls for 30 mins, laid down and placed the large bowl on my belly repeatedly striking that and a couple others whilst my eyes were closed followed by the gongs 💫

Although it’s not possible to completely float off to another dimension whilst physically playing, the physical benefits are still received.

The intuitive guidance trickling through.

The heaviness lifted as the tension left my body and was replaced with clarity.

With intention, a safe energetic space and powerful sound healing instruments anything can be transmuted 💖

Why am I not enough?
 
Five words I’m certain everyone has mumbled to themselves at some point whether it be about a job, relationship, making a sports team, landing a deal, you name it.
 
You can tell yourself otherwise, plaster affirmations all over the place if you wish, yet with some limiting beliefs, nothing changes.
 
Why is that?
 
If you have deeply ingrained beliefs, even if false, you need more than talking it through, affirmations or journaling for it to disperse.
 
What’s stored in the body, needs to be released through the body, using the body.
 
I had this visual whilst meditating and pondering why beliefs don’t stick 👆🏽
 
If the false belief hasn’t been cleared in its entirety, the new belief you’re speaking or writing is like a sticker being slapped onto all the other stickers that state the contrary.
 
Speaking things into existence, reading affirmations, or writing manifestations are great. Journaling or talking things out with a friend or mentor also brilliant for uncovering what needs your attention. All has its place and serves it’s purpose. The final and necessary piece is your body doing the work.
 
The new belief can only stick onto a blank canvas.
 
Ways in which I can support in creating that blank canvas is with sound healing and breathwork.
 
Both serve the body in their unique way depending on what you’re after.
 
Sound vibrations will clear disharmony in the body to make way for the new in a more gentle and subtle way.
 
Breathwork requires your input to use your breath to intentionally release the disharmony, it requires pushing through the discomfort to get to the bliss waiting on the other side.
 
One is not better than the other, what you most need will change. What you need may not be this. I can only speak on what works best for me.
 
Anytime I feel out of balance aka everything is going to s**t. I know I need to amp up my sound and breathwork because it is these two practices that have supported my most monumental shifts.

Had a sudden urge to exit off the freeway when a voice inside told me to go here.

My inner little one wanted to take my adult self on a detour.

I’ve learnt to not overthink or try to make sense of every move. If it feels like intuition guiding me, I run with it knowing I’m receiving something I need from the experience.

This here is my childhood milk bar, went in, walked around, purchased something to not seem like a weirdo. Got some takeaway lunch from a nearby cafe and strolled to my childhood park to eat. Feet planted on the ground that I’ve walked, played, skipped, rode on a thousands of times before.

Do I need anything more? Nope. That was the medicine. Reminiscing. Feeling the presence of who needed to enter my memory. Soaking up the energy of the sun rays and physical space that I’m in, my body and soul receiving wisdom from the exchange. I trust that it is, things always make sense in retrospect.

The lesson…don’t try to make sense of everything before acting. Whether it is what appears to be a random detour or a major life decision. Learn to be guided by your intuition from the micro to the macro. Teach yourself to know deep in your soul there’s a purpose for every step without needing to figure out what, why, how or when. Trust your path and all the blessings that await when you live life from this space of knowing 💫
