How to keep your Diaphragm clean?
After use wash thoroughly with warm water and gentle soap. Give extra attention to the external and internal rim part. You can use soft toothbrush to gently wash around the rim.
Tap dry with a clean towel, paper towel or leave to dry in open air.
You can rinse with water before the next use- not a must.

After more then 17 years of teaching Fertility Awareness/ Natural family planning I'd like to emphasize the importance of realizing that:
WE ARE NOT AFTER THE MOMENT OF OVULATION!!! it is absolutely impossible to put our finger on this moment while using any of the fertility awareness based methods, and guess what?
IT IS IRRELEVANT FOR EITHER PURPOSES PREVENTING OF ACHIEVING PREGNANCY.
Ovulation is an event occurring once or twice every fertility cycle. The o**m (egg cell) erupts from the o***y and is collected by the fallopian tube. By charting our cycle we can identify that an ovulation has occurred. However we definitely can't predict it! Cervical mucus and cervical changes cant tell us when and if ovulation did occur. The correct concept is to refer to an infertile PHASE and fertile PHASE rather to focus on ovulation.

It was proven that menstrual cycle is indeed the fifth vital sign along with blood pressure, heart rate, temperature and respiratory rate. It is especially important to notice this sign with adolescence. Pay attention to the recommendations -teaching, educating about the menstrual cycle. Lets make one thing clear, there is no menstrual cycle education while using hormonal contraception. Simple there is no menstrual cycle. What we witness is called a withdrawal bleeding. Withdrawal from the medication. Please give girls empowering information for healthy living. Ignorance is not bliss.

I prepared an instructional video that explains how you can check whether CAYA diaphragm fits you. As a clinician I love starting fitting session with CAYA however it's not always the right device for everyone. If that is the case we switch for size diaphragms of cervical cap. Remember, a good fit and proper use makes the difference between a successful use and a failure.

כאמא לשתי נערות מתבגרות אני חוזרת שוב ושוב לימי ההתבגרות שלי עצמי ובכל פעם אני שואלת את עצמי איפה אמא שלי היתה? על פניו גדלתי בבית נורמטיבי לחלוטין שבו אמא, אבא ובת אך הזיכרון העמוק שאותו אני נושאת עמי הוא תחושת בדידות ובלבול בכל מה שקשור לשינויים הפיזיים, הנפשיים והרגשיים שעברתי אז.
