For many who know me, I started the Keto way of eating in June 2017. I lost 35 lbs in 6 months. While I currently cycle in and out of ketosis, I have kept the weight off. And have never looked back.

While personal preference and dietary flexibility are always more important than any regimented dietary protocol, it’s also important to acknowledge that keto is the default human metabolic state, because it was the only way humans were able to survive the withering selection pressure of human evolution.

I believe the Keto journey is the greatest breakthrough in the history of nutritional science – and the history of dieting – to promote successful long-term fat loss and weight management.

For those who have embraced the Keto lifestyle, I would love to hear about your experience! 👇

Your body doesn’t know the difference between the sugar in Coke or in a chocolate éclair, or between an apple and a donut. The effect of sugar in the body will be different according to the source of the sugar (of course apples are healthier than donuts and offer nutrients other than sugar), but once digested the sugar in your system is the same.

Gyms all across the world are closed right now. Many of us are stuck at home, unable or unwilling to even get to parks and hiking trails and beaches. We’re all homebodies now, and yet the need for physical activity hasn’t diminished. If anything, it’s more crucial than ever that we stay active and healthy, fit and strong. Mark Sisson

What are you doing for physical exercise during this crisis?

Gyms all across the world are closed right now. Many of us are stuck at home, unable or unwilling to even get to parks and hiking trails and beaches.

Choosing the right diet is a personal choice but when we take a look at what the government has recommended in the past, it is clear that they are not always correct. And in the case of the food pyramid, they might have things completely backward!

Healthy eating and proper nutrition are essential to making good food choices. Today, there are many different diets you can choose from, but which is best for YOU?Recently, the U.S. Department of Agriculture released a food pyramid with more specific advice on portion size and calories to help peop...

Great video about keto and what makes it work by Dr. Eric Berg! In addition to lowering carbs, meal timing/frequency is critical to keto success because of its role on insulin levels.

Sodium and magnesium are both great supplements to replenish electrolytes during a fast! Keeping sodium levels consistent should also regulate your body’s potassium levels. Make sure to consult your doctor before supplementing with anything, especially potassium, as it can cause cardiovascular complications.

About Me

I am a board certified Health and Life Coach. I believe that most people know what to do to improve their health but they experience a gap between knowing what they need to do and actually doing it. I help my clients to bridge that gap.
