Hi it's Agni! I just got home from date night. Tomorrow I'm up early and off to my adult tumbling class!

Trying new things doesn't get easier. In fact when it comes to physical exercise, it gets harder. I am the oldest person in class by far. But I am strong, determined, and consistent.

I bring this attitude to Little Switch, as well. Please remember life will not suddenly get easier, or less busy. If you want improvements in your life you often have to be very clever to carve them out!

I'll see you tomorrow evening - 4 PM for LGBTQ+ Yoga, and 5:30 PM for Sunday Group!

There is so much going down at Little Switch Yoga, as we head into the fall. Alongside our four weekly classes and three monthly gatherings (including our beloved Community Meditation), we’ve got new offerings designed to nourish your body, mind, and heart.

Mark your calendars 📅 and sign up for our emails to be the first to grab a spot. If you don't make the time for yourself, time will not make it for you.

Yoga Field Trip to the Bat Preserve

Join us for a special day trip featuring a walking meditation led by Rachel, time in nature, and a brown-bag lunch together. Plus all that time we get to carpool and get to know one another more!

Yin Yoga Saturday Series — Go Deep

If you are kind of a tough son-of-a-gun (or want to get tougher) this is for you! Yin Yoga is very deep stretches with long holds - and more than a physical challenge, it is a mental one. If you'd like to build more physical mobility and mental resilience - join us for this four week series.

New lunchtime yoga series - Get the Funk Out!

Wednesdays 12:10–12:50 PM, led by Andrea! Feeling fried? Take a midday reset to shake off stress, reconnect with your body, and return to work with more energy and clarity. Don't let worklife rob you of your energy!

Metta Meditation — New to Grays Harbor!

Led by Rachel, recently trained through Dharma Moon, this ancient practice of loving-kindness invites compassion for self and others. Gentle, heart-opening, and deeply transformative — a beautiful addition to your meditation journey.

There’s a place for you here at Little Switch Yoga. Invest in yourself - you are worth it.🌿

Did you know we have a world-class vegan course happening through 2025, facilitated by a Masters graduate student in vegan studies? (that's Agni!). We are so pleased to be bringing this hiqh quality course and we've had such great turnout. We had class last night and discussed nutrition aspects of veganism: protein, B12, fiber, soy products, pet diet, and had a discussion on āhimsa and the weaponization of vegetarianism! (You had to be there!)

And of course, we had wonderful food: garbanzo bean bread with oat milk butter, three bean salad (including locally-grown beans), and locally-grown tea!

Next month we have an expert visitor who will be sharing on vegan skincare and cosmetics. We have this gathering every month on the second Sunday of the month. If you are interested, please reserve your spot (google "little switch yoga", go to Events > Plants)! We'd love to have you.

We have only two spots open for Sunday's Plant Power Hour?

Are you tired of feeling tired, are you not feeling great about your food choices? Would you like to eat in a way that is in more alignment with your values? Or do you just want some energy, resources, recipes and support from the community? This class is for you!

This class is also offered at a scholarship rate - just a $5 stipend for the instructor(s), plus the cost of printed materials. Sign up on the Little Switch Website!

New post! What are three differences between an at-home yoga practice, versus a yoga class?

1. You’ll actually practice if you come to class. Many people plan to do yoga at home, but these plans largely remain theoretical. When you sign up for regular class, you go to class and put the effort in, so you get results. Why wait for your practice to start? You deserve the benefits today.

2. You learn to down-regulate your nervous system while in a room full of people. Many of us feel safe or stabilized at home. Yoga class is an opportunity to get in a room with others and learn to be able to tolerate - or even enjoy - the presence other human beings! Obviously this depends on the culture of the yoga space and studio, but at Little Switch we’ve got a healthy culture on lockdown.

3. You focus more in a class. I teach online classes, which I enjoy. However I notice during their home practice people get up, leave the room, fiddle with their phones, and endure household interruption. But in class, none of those things happen - pretty much, ever. You tend to do more quality, focussed work.

Give yourself the gift of a yoga class!

By the way, Agni is teaching in this video. However they set up the camera just to point towards the top of the room. You never have to worry about being filmed or photographed without consent, at Little Switch.
