as a tumor, treat a wound, or relieve pain. Operates on the spine in order to free entrapped nerves, correct deformity, or restore spinal stability. Requires a degree in medicine from accelerated school and is licensed to practices. May require at least 4-6 years of surgery experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to the chief of surgery.
