The basic foundation of kinesiology (Kin-easy-ology) is that the body has its own healing energy and is doing its best to repair itself, but sometimes it needs a little support to achieve this state.
Kinesiology enables this process by applying a range of gentle yet powerful healing methods to improve health, well-being and vitality.
We look beyond the symptoms, and do not diagnose or treat named dis-eases. In fact energy balancing can bring a person closer to achieving any goal of their choice, whether in sport, relationships, learning or coping with life in general.
What we do?
We perform muscle testing to identify and correct energy blockages within the body; it is a natural feedback system which receives information via nerve pathways and the meridian system of the brain and body. This muscle feedback system gives direct access into the holistic information held by the subconscious brain. A weak muscle test can therefore be an indicator that stress is having a significantly negative effect somewhere in the system.
This helps us find the most beneficial technique from a toolbox of structural, biochemical, emotional, electrical and spiritual processes. Balancing methods can include:
Tracing or massaging meridians
Gentle rubbing, holding or tapping acupressure points
Gem and flower essences
Strengthening systems with wholefood nutrition
Movement, breath work and physical releases
Belief system reframing
Clearing sabotage patterns
Relaxation and visualisation work
What can I expect during the first consultation?
Once you book your session you will be emailed a client history form to fill out in preparation for your appointment. This gives you an opportunity to think about your goals and consider how other areas of your life might be related to your current concerns. Don’t worry if you don’t know exactly what you want, many people come to their first session lacking clarity. Some potential areas my include:
Previous health or illness history
Emotional and psychological history
Traumas
Surgeries and genetic patterns
Work
Family and relationships
Financial pressures
Spiritual practices
Relaxation time
Exercise and nutritional goals
This process gives a blueprint of where you are in your life and where you want to be. Each session balances your energetic system towards an agreed and defined goal. It helps you diffuse the stress around your current issues, so you can clearly see a pathway to your desired outcome.
Most of the work takes place on a massage table, and you are fully clothed (comfortable clothes).
There will often be a list of home support for you to do between sessions and follow up work may be required as your life goals change.

How can you benefit?
Kinesiology can help you to release the stress, allowing your body to recuperate and to recover its natural balance. This allows for more energy and motivation to do life and a greater understanding and acceptance of yourself and others. Seeing choices and solutions where none seemed to exist before. To have more appropriate responses and coping abilities in stressful environments. But all in all, an improved quality of life. Health is not just the absence of “dis-ease” or “dis-stress”
Will kinesiology cure me?
No-one can “cure” anyone else. If you cut your finger, you can put a plaster on it but your body heals the cut, and if you break a bone, a doctor can set it, but he does not heal it – you do …. and so as Kinesiologists we do not “heal” or “cure” but work to re-establish balance so that you can heal more effectively and improve your quality of life.
How many sessions would I need?
The number of sessions depends on each individual and their given focus or situation. Most people will notice improvement after one to three visits, but we cannot determine how many sessions in total will be needed. The ideal scenario would be to maintain your health, however we tend to wait until health issues arise before implementing a health plan.
Your kinesiologist may find that emotional stress is a factor in the imbalance and might talk to you about this in order to help you become consciously aware of how it relates to the problem. When emotional stress is brought into conscious awareness it is easier to integrate and release.
Your session should finish with an overview of what has been achieved within the session and a summary of any relevant homework or lifestyle changes necessary.
In order to get the most from your kinesiology session make sure you are clear about what your goals are from the outlay.
Most clients report feeling lighter and less weighed down upon finishing up a kinesiology session. It is important to remember that it can take a few days for things to fully fall into place after the session.
Suggested treatment plan.
If you are new to kinesiology I recommend an initial 90-minute kinesiology consultation followed by between 1 – 3 standard consultations 2 -4 weeks apart with lifestyle changes incorporated between sessions. You should expect to see results within 1 – 3 sessions.
Follow-up standard consultations should be spaced between 2 -4 weeks apart or may be booked as needed. We recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment.
