We do not provide medical advice or perform clinical duties. ASSA is here to provide support services for anyone having an abortion in the Atlantic Provinces. We can help you navigate the medical system, connect you with a support person who will accompany you to your appointment(s), help you find a place to spend the night if you need to travel or help you to connect to any other services you nee

ASSA also offers trauma-informed abortion doula training multiple times per year. Shannon organizes trainings in Halifax but can also come to you. If you are interested in bring the training to your area, please contact assa.coordinator@gmail.com

Hello! We are currently looking for volunteer drivers for an appointment on May 14th. The individual needs a ride from CBU to Halifax (this person is willling to drive the day/night before-May 13th, if needed), then back to CBU. If you can help with any portion of this trip, please reach out!

Hello to all of our valuable volunteers! Just a reminder that when the ROSE clinic (reproductive options clinic in halifax) calls to confirm you are driving/picking up a patient, you have to confirm you are the driver or they may cancel/reschedule the patient. Be aware they may call the day before and will definitely call the morning of the procedure. The clinic's number may show up as unknown caller. We appreciate you all so much, thank you for everything you do :)
