This is our story of the complications, road blocks and heartbreaks we continue to endure. Eat, scream and cry....that's about all I'm capable of.
1/09 - Stopped taking the pill
2/10 - Dye test to check if tubes were open, they were. Referred to Urologist
3/10 - More sperm tests. Visit urologist, Rx for antibiotics for Hubby. Small difference, not enough though. Ultrasound on kidneys and balls.
5/10 - Hub diagnosed with bilateral vericosele. Recommends surgery.
6/10 - Decide to get second opinion from fertility specialist.
7/10 - 1st Appt at RSC, several tests, determines I'm fine, suggests IVF.
8/10 - IVF step 1: take the pill (which causes me to create ovarian cysts), cycle forgone.
9/10 - Start Lupron injections daily, bloodwork and ultrasounds throughout month.
10/10 - Harvested 13 eggs through surgical removal, injected into good sperm, 11 grew. 8 blastocyst, grew for 5 days. Transferred 1 embryo on 10/31. 2 made it to freezing stage.
11/11 - Positive preggo test. At 6 weeks & 2 days, HCG not high enough, sent for ultrasound. Saw and heard heartbeat.
12/11 - RCS monitered until 7 weeks, referred to OB, advised to stop taking progesterone. 12/23 saw spotting, ultrasound confirmed miscarriage. D&C
1/11 - Follow up with OB. Advised to wait a couple months.
2/11 - Met with RSC, decide to move forward with frozen cycle transfer.
3/11 - 1 Embryo survived unfreezing, transferred, one week later positive home test.
4/11 - Negative blood work, not pregnant. Cousin suggests NaPro Technology, Dr. Paul Carpentier. After 2 60 min phone calls, determines I have endometriosis, thinks he can help.
5/11 - Meet with Dr. C, referred to surgeon for endo. Suspects thyroid condition, suggests taking B6, D3, magnesium, and thyroid supplement. Bloodwork to be run. Start learning Creighton Model. Suggests Hubby takes ProXeed. Also thinks lack of progesterone may have contributed to miscarriage.
6/11 - Possible chemical pregnancy (early miscarriage). Met with RN, began Creighton cycle charting. Notices I have too much cervical mucus.
7/11 - Surgery on endo, removed all endo and massive amount of scarring. Blood work indicates slight hypothyroidism, began medication. Also start Low Dose Naltrexone to help t-cells in abdomen.
8/11 - Attempting to conceive naturally.
9/11 - Met with Dr. C. Cycle is still not regular, suggests Levothyroxine to help mature eggs properly. Attempt to conceive naturally.
10/11 - Not pregnant. Second month of Levothyroxine.
