Big news for Indiana families! Preliminary data from the Indiana Department of Health shows that our state’s infant mortality rate is the lowest it’s been since 1900. 💙

Fetal & Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) teams like ours are part of this progress. By reviewing cases, identifying ways to prevent future losses, and offering community outreach — like our community baby showers — we help create safer, healthier beginnings for babies and families.

We’re committed to continuing our role in this important work. While we acknowledge this milestone, we know there’s more to do — and we’ll keep showing up for the littlest members of our community. 👶👶🏽✨

❤️ Today is Wear Red Day! ❤️

In honor of National Heart Month, we're raising awareness about the importance of heart health for everyone—especially moms and babies. Did you know that heart-related issues are a leading cause of pregnancy complications and infant mortality?

By wearing red today, we stand in solidarity with the Fetal and Infant Mortality Review (FIMR), which works to reduce preventable deaths by analyzing the causes of fetal and infant mortality in our communities and making recommendations to improve care.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Let’s unite to make a difference and advocate for healthier hearts and stronger futures. 💪❤️

November is Diabetes Awareness Month:

Did you know that gestational diabetes—diabetes during pregnancy—can significantly impact both a mother's health and the health of her baby? Diabetes awareness is crucial, not just for those living with the condition, but also for understanding how it affects pregnancy outcomes.

Infants born to mothers with unmanaged gestational diabetes are at higher risk for complications such as preterm birth, low birth weight, and even infant mortality.

This Diabetes Awareness Month, we want to highlight the importance of early screening, proper management, and support for expecting mothers

‼️Key Takeaways: ✅ Early screening for gestational diabetes is vital for both mother and baby. ✅ Proper management of blood sugar levels during pregnancy can reduce risks. ✅ Access to healthcare and education can save lives.

Let’s work together to reduce infant mortality by raising awareness and supporting the health of mothers and their babies. Share this post to help spread the word and encourage proactive care!
