1️⃣ Get more // high-quality sleep. Sleep > Nutrition > Fitness. They're all important, but sleep immediately impacts your ability to focus on the other two. You're less likely to wake up in time to have a solid breakfast if you don't sleep enough or well the night before. Planning on getting an evening workout in after a long day and sub-par rest? Forget about it.

2️⃣ Drink more water. And then drink more. Every ounce of your body will thank you.

3️⃣ Move naturally. Take a page from those living in Blue Zones and find ways to move throughout the day. Dance while you get ready. Walk to work. Walk to school. Walk to the market. Garden. Take the stairs. Sit on the floor. There's a reason they live well into their 100s – start moving like them to improve your health.

Remember, your behaviors ➡️ your habits ➡️ a practice ➡️ your life.

This is where I start with a lot of my clients. I know it may seem like common knowledge. But actually implementing it? Not so common.
Here are my top three nutrition tips that you can maintain FOR LIFE! Take a look and see which one you can implement today.
1) Eat more, not less – think about eating frequency here. Aim to have breakfast within an hour of waking and then eat every 3 to 4 hours. This may look like 3 meals and 2 snacks throughout the day. Your eating frequency is important. Small frequent meals will fuel your day and they’ll help you practice mindful eating.
A quick change to make now: put a non-perishable snack in your bag for a quick, on-the-go snack (bonus: replace it once you eat it).
2) Build a balanced plate – fiber-rich carbs, protein, healthy fats, plenty of vegetables, and flavor. A balanced plate is packed with color and nutrients that will fuel your busy life.
A quick change to make now: aim to get a minimum of 2 macros at snacks and all 3 at meals.
3) Cook your own food – this one goes well beyond the nutritional benefit of knowing what your eating. Cooking for yourself and others is an act of self-care and love.
A quick change to make now: cook a simple dinner M, Th, and W OR batch cook one grain + one protein + one veg on Sunday to assemble meals throughout the week.
Remember, your behaviors ––> your habits ––> a practice ––> your life.
