Serenity to Success Retreat Recap

What an incredible weekend of growth, connection, and transformation at our Serenity to Success Retreat! From the moment we arrived, the energy was full of intention and openness—and it only got better from there.

Morning yoga quickly became a crowd favorite, with many participants experiencing it for the first time. The gentle, accessible flow set the perfect tone for each day, and we loved hearing how empowered everyone felt stepping onto the mat—no matter their experience level.

Throughout the retreat, we received so much positive feedback about how accessible and inclusive our programming was. Whether it was a movement session, nutrition talk, or mindset workshop, attendees shared that they felt seen, supported, and inspired to take action.

Our sessions on fitness, nutrition, and mindset were truly chalk full of applicable tools—designed not just to motivate, but to equip everyone with practical strategies to carry into daily life. The group left feeling recharged, refocused, and ready to turn serenity into lasting success.

A tight pelvic floor can lead to pain, discomfort, and issues with bladder, bowel, and sexual function. My latest blog explains the signs and causes of pelvic floor tightness, including stress, poor posture, and overtraining. It highlights the importance of diaphragmatic breathing, yoga-based stretches, and nervous system relaxation to release tension. Key exercises such as Happy Baby, Butterfly Stretch, and Deep Yogi Squat are recommended to improve mobility and balance.

Job Title: Grant Writer - Health and Wellness/STEAM Programs

Location: Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in identifying, researching, and securing grants, particularly for health and wellness and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) programs. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while playing a crucial role in securing funding to support our initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and research potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of grant prospects.
Write compelling and persuasive grant proposals that align with the goals and requirements of funding sources.
Prepare and submit high-quality grant applications, including budgets, narratives, and supporting documents.
Collaborate with program directors and other team members to gather necessary information and ensure alignment of grant proposals with organizational objectives.
Monitor and track the progress of submitted grants, ensuring timely follow-up and reporting to funding sources.
Maintain accurate records of all grant activities, submissions, and outcomes.
Stay informed about trends and best practices in grant writing and funding for health and wellness and STEAM programs.
Assist in developing and implementing strategies to maximize funding opportunities.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing funding for health and wellness and/or STEAM programs.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in using grant management software and other relevant tools.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
