🚩 High Blood pressure, also called hypertension, is a condition that effects the force of blood pushing against the walls of your arteries. It can damage your arteries over time and increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other serious health problems.

High blood pressure can be prevented and treated by adopting a healthy lifestyle. This includes eating a balanced diet, reducing salt intake, exercising regularly, quitting smoking, limiting alcohol consumption, and managing stress. Massage therapy is a great addition to a prevention plan, as it reduces stress, and activates the parasympathetic nervous system.

Some people may also need to take medication to lower their blood pressure. Your health care provider can help you determine the best treatment plan for your condition.
