Please join us at Valeo’s 6th Annual Unmasking Stigma scheduled on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Townsite Towers from 5 pm - 8:30 pm. The National Keynote Speaker this year is Liz Murray, Best Selling Author of “Homeless to Harvard”. Her life story was then made into a movie.

Barry Feaker, Compassion Strategies, will be honored with The Hope Humanitarian Award and Mary Flin will be recognized with the Mental Health Awareness Warrior Award.

A big shout out of thanks to Street Dog Coalition and KSU for joining MAP yesterday.

They saw 18 humans with 13 dogs and three cats. They also scheduled two spay and neuter surgeries.

In addition, they connected several pet owners with services to help them reach their goals. Sometimes that is as simple as getting IDs and documentation. Sometimes it’s as big as getting sustained treatment for medical or mental health issues.

A free community QPR Training session runs 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12 at Valeo Behavioral Health, 330 SW Oakley.
