Ahhh, Spain. 🇪🇸 ❤️ You’ve all truly got this wellness - and happiness - thing figured out.

I am so inspired by you - the ease, the slow pace, the beauty. It all seems so natural, REAL. This carefree life is so worth our time and effort to explore, and instill. ❤️☕️❤️

The food is healthy, wine free-flows, the sunshine abundant. Social safety-nets, kindness, and community are held dear - and for good reason. This is NOT a TV or car culture, or stressful lifestyle. Even full-time work is kept under careful watch so people don’t burn-out. ❤️

Spain’s emphasis on prioritizing the special care of all people - no matter what - and holding them up instead of holding them down, was truly lovely to witness. 🥹

No wonder its people are rated as the healthiest and happiest around the world. ❤️🇪🇸❤️

I’m left wondering just HOW to help others create this life here in America - the land of mental health issues, obesity, isolation, governmental carelessness about our health; ALL the deadlines, rigidity, and wayyyy tooooo much stress in everything we do… 😵‍💫

It feels like we are on our own over here. It’s maddening.

My #1 goal has always been to work on implementing a better sense of balance in my own life, create beauty around me, reach out to my loved ones more, and work with my clients on changing their stressful lives into happier, healthy versions steeped in amazing ease. ❤️

And Spain just reiterated this so well.

Because, we CAN have it here in our own country. But we must be willing to look at things differently.

Special thanks to my amazing sister Lib for doing so much to make our time together that much more meaningful; to my incredible sister Ana .forever for inspiring this trip; to - my stunning and wonderful girl who always looks for the best in our world. To our dad for helping to make our trip possible. ❤️

And, thank you to our loves in this world for supporting our desire to see life through the Spanish lens. 💃🇪🇸💃 (You all know who you are. ❤️)

🇪🇸

Wednesday truth drop… 🙃⚡️⛈️

I wish I had more levity. But this is real.
Our yoga right now is SATYA — truthfulness. 🧘‍♀️

Lately, I’ve felt overwhelmed. The world feels like it’s crumbling, yet we’re expected to carry on like nothing’s wrong. 😵‍💫

I used to love this country — what I thought we stood for. Now, it’s hard to recognize us. The daily news is devastating.

If you’re feeling this too: I’m with you. ❤️
If you don’t, feel free to unfollow. There’s no room for complacency, or apologies anymore.

This moment isn’t political — it’s ethical.
Real yoga happens when we gather, speak truth, and stand up for each other. 💪

It shakes us awake — out of comfort and into courage.

Into compassion. Into love.

That’s the world I still believe in. ❤️

🌸 Wellness Tip #1: Chase What Lights You Up

From a young age, I was the kid who stopped to smell every flower. The changing seasons always seemed to invite a quiet moment of joy and reflection. But as I got older, life got louder—and that simple ritual faded into the background.

A few years ago, I made a promise to myself: no matter who’s watching or how busy I am, I will always stop and smell the flowers. Literally. Because those tiny pauses reconnect me with what’s real, what’s beautiful, and what lights me up from the inside out.

Taking in the beauty around us isn’t frivolous—it’s essential. It’s a mindful practice. A reset. A reminder that joy lives in the smallest moments.

🌼 What flowers have you stopped to smell lately?

Ahhh, to be the mom of a teenager. Over the years I’ve had to employ some pretty serious Yoga. 🧘‍♂️ ❤️🧘‍♂️

As a mom to this incredible human, I’ve really been able to learn so much about myself, and so much about what I want the world to be for her. And while I don’t have control of most things, what I can control is how I show up for her in this world. ❤️

She’s headed off to college this fall. I will be what they call an ‘empty nester’….I have a feeling I will need yoga more than ever when that time comes.

(Not the sexy Instagramable yoga, but the kind where I can sit, meditate, journal, and figure out a way that I can get through this time without her moving forward. 🥺😢🥺)

And through it all, we will be so busy celebrating and cheering her on - through prom, graduation, all the festivals, summer trips, and her very last production with Running to Places Theater Company. 🎭

While I still have the summer months with her, I expect yoga to carry me through - reminding me to stop what I’m doing, and just simply take in the beauty and bittersweetness of the situation. ❤️

I just hope I can remember to breathe when the time comes. 🙏🏻

I am so grateful to be on this journey as a mom; no matter how hard it’s going to be to let her go, I’m so excited for where she is heading. ❤️❤️❤️

Also, she usually ditches me at the Ithaca Festival Parade to be with her friends. Instead, we had a fantastic time together, clapping, laughing, and just parading on the sidelines. ❤️🙏🏻❤️

💧How Much Water Do You Really Need Around Your Workout?

Ladies—if you’re in your 30s, 40s, 50s or 60s and working out to feel strong, energized, and at home in your body again… hydration is not optional. It’s foundational. Especially as our bodies change with age, hormones, and stress. Here’s what you need to know:

✅ Before Your Workout:
Aim for 16–20 oz of water 1–2 hours before you move. This gives your body time to absorb it and preps your muscles + joints for action.

✅ During Your Workout:
Sip 7–10 oz every 15–20 minutes. More if you’re sweating heavily or working out in heat. Don’t wait until you feel thirsty—by then, you’re already behind.

✅ After Your Workout:
Replenish with 16–24 oz within 30 minutes. Add electrolytes if it was a high-sweat session or you’re perimenopausal/postmenopausal (hello, hormone shifts = fluid imbalance).

💦 Pro tip: Your hydration needs go up with intensity, age, heat, and cycle stage (if applicable). So tune in, and make your water work for you—not just with you.

✨ Hydration = better performance, smoother recovery, clearer focus, and less injury risk. Take it seriously, like you do your strength.

💦 I call this the “Jenni Sol Yoga-sized water jar,” for a visual reference. I drink at least three of these every single day. It helps me to see how much I’m drinking, and how much more I need to go….

Do you drink enough water throughout the day?

‼️ RANT ALERT ‼️

(Warning - don’t read further if you’re cool with patriarchy, or the bill for billionaires that is in the process of being pushed through disguised as Big and Beautiful.)

😡😤🤬

Because of this big, “beautiful” bill, I may be losing my basic healthcare: and I’m not just worried for myself, I’m terrified for my 18 year-old daughter too.

🤬 This is personal. I am livid. 🤬

The truth is: industries like mine - wellness, yoga, caregiving, healing, among others - are rarely seen as “real” or “deserving” enough to be offered basic benefits, like health insurance.

We work hard, we HUSTLE to make ends meet, we hold space for others, we care deeply, and still, we are left on the outside. 💔

It’s time we name this for what it is: systemic disregard for those who nurture, teach, support, and heal. (Patriarchy, anyone? I mean WHO is making money here??)

There’s so many hard-working people in my shoes - millions, in fact. And while I don’t have actual numbers, the papers and stats compiled don’t lie.

At every turn these days there’s something else to be angry about, but when there’s zero compassion for those who will now go without basic healthcare, I have to ask WHAT THE F**K ARE WE DOING???

If you too are someone who might feel the serious impact of yet another bill being passed that hurts you and your family, comment BOOM below. 👇

We need conversation around this, and ACTION.

Don’t forget to call your reps and tell them ‘HELL NO!’ on this Big UGLY Bunch of BS. 🚫🚫🚫

This little boy has been through so much. ❤️🐈‍⬛❤️

He’s living with us now, and finally acclimatized to our sweet home. ❤️

He and Lola the Yoga Dog are still trying to find a balance but overall I think it will work out.

My research and my life have taught me that regret is one of our most powerful emotional reminders that reflection, change, and growth are necessary. In our research, regret emerged as a function of empathy. And, when used constructively, it’s a call to courage and a path toward wisdom.

One of the most powerful lines about regret comes from George Saunders’s 2013 commencement address at Syracuse University.

Saunders talked about how when he was a child, a young girl was teased at his school and, although he didn’t tease her and even defended her a little, he still thought about it. He said:

“So here’s something I know to be true, although it’s a little corny, and I don’t quite know what to do with it: What I regret most in my life are failures of kindness. Those moments when another human being was there, in front of me, suffering, and I responded . . . sensibly. Reservedly. Mildly.”

The idea that regret is a fair but tough teacher can really p**s people off. “No regrets” has become synonymous with daring and adventure, but I disagree. The idea of “no regrets” doesn’t mean living with courage, it means living without reflection. To live without regret is to believe we have nothing to learn, no amends to make, and no opportunity to be braver with our lives.

In our work, we find that what we regret most are our failures of courage, whether it’s the courage to be kinder, to show up, to say how we feel, to set boundaries, to be good to ourselves, to say yes to something scary. Regret has taught me that living outside my values is not tenable for me.

Regrets about not taking chances have made me braver. Regrets about shaming or blaming people I care about have made me more thoughtful.

Sometimes the most uncomfortable learning is the most powerful.
