Strength moves increase circulation and improve brain insulin sensitivity.

They help reduce inflammation and support healthy mitochondria—energy centers of cells.

Wall push‑ups or band stretches for 5 minutes can strengthen mind and body.

Poor sleep raises inflammation and insulin resistance, both linked to dementia.

Good rest supports insulin function and lowers brain cell stress.

Stick to regular bedtime for stronger memory and mood.

Exercise improves brain insulin sensitivity. That’s vital because when your brain can’t use insulin well, it can cause plaque and tau to build up.

Plaque is sticky stuff between brain cells.
Tau is a protein that twists and blocks brain cells.

Both are linked to memory loss and Alzheimer’s, which some doctors now call Type 3 diabetes because it’s connected to insulin problems in the brain.

Even light walks or wall push‑ups help improve mitochondria, reduce stress chemicals, and boost mood lowering your risk—or even stopping it—from getting worse with healthy habits.

Your brain is about 75 % water. Even mild dehydration causes memory lapses, slower thinking, and early fatigue.

Long-term low hydration can harm cell health, worsen inflammation, and raise dementia risk.

Drinking water supports brain cleansing systems and clear thinking.

My grandfather died from Alzheimer’s in 2002.

Watching someone you love slowly slip away is heartbreaking.
June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. Right now, over 55 million people around the world live with dementia. In the U.S., about 7 million people age 65+ have Alzheimer’s.

The scariest part?
Brain changes can begin 20 years before symptoms show up.
That’s why what we do now matters.

Over the next two weeks, I’ll share early signs, tips to lower your risk, and ways to support your loved ones.

Wear purple.
Tell your story.
You’re not alone.

want to...
I get to...
I choose to...

In our lives, the way we phrase our intentions and actions can profoundly impact our feelings and outcomes. Let's embark on a journey from feeling obligated by our desires ('I want to'), to recognizing the opportunities and privileges we have ('I get to'), and finally, embracing our power to make choices ('I choose to').

✨ From 'I want to'... where our desires dictate our actions, often leaving us feeling helpless or in a state of constant longing.

🙏 To 'I get to'... a shift towards gratitude, acknowledging the opportunities and possibilities that lie before us, transforming obligation into appreciation.

🚀 And finally, 'I choose to'... the ultimate expression of autonomy and empowerment, where we take ownership of our decisions and actions, steering our life's direction with intention and purpose.

This journey is not just about changing a phrase; it's about transforming our perspective, empowering ourselves to live more fulfilled and autonomous lives. Let's choose to embrace this mindset. What choices will you make today?
