Our patient noticed a growing gingival mass that started shortly after beginning invisalign. Treated with Biopsy and gingivectomy with depigmentation. 😍 Smile Restored 😊

A fibroma of the gingiva is a benign, reactive growth of fibrous connective tissue — not a true neoplasm — and it’s typically caused by chronic irritation or trauma.

In combination NCCL + recession defects do you restore before are after the graft❓ 🤔

Do you prefer doing the coronal restoration prior to grafting so that ➡
• The restorative dentist can easily finish the restoration margins without damaging the tissue
• You can use the new restorative margin to determine the extent of coronal advancement

❗OR do you prefer to have the coronal portion restored after maximal root coverage has been obtained and the tissue have matured and stabilized?

Alloderm at 8 weeks of healing. Great thickness and root coverage 😍. We utilized Pat Allen tunnel technique with small vestibular verticals to aid in graft insertion. AlloDerm Select RTM (40x5mm) graft was placed within the tunnel from #2-15, aligned with the overlying tissue margin and coronally positioned to above the the CEJ with a 5-0 PGCL continuous sling suture

2-week post-op following tunnel de-epithelialized connective tissue graft 😍. The patient was having hot/cold sensitivity which was resolved after covering the exposed roots.
