Hot take:
Not everything called “a breakthrough” is actually transformation.
Sometimes it’s just pressure, performance, or coercion packaged as courage.

I learned this the hard way inside a coaching container that celebrated intensity and ignored the body — and in this week’s essay, I’m finally telling one of several problematic dynamics I experienced there.

It’s a vulnerable share, and one I’ve sat with for a long time. I’m sharing it now because someone out there needs the language I didn’t have at the time.

This new piece is a somatic unpacking of bravery vs. self-abandonment, and why nervous-system-safe growth is the only kind worth pursuing.

Your body isn’t an afterthought.
It’s the foundation of your expression, intuition, capacity, and voice.

Craniosacral Therapy works directly with the physical system: bones, joints, fascia, cerebrospinal fluid, and the nervous system based on this concept:

Structure affects function.

When the system is stuck, compressed or carrying old patterns of survival, it doesn’t matter how much insight or mindset work you’ve done — your expression will feel restricted, muted, or “not quite you.”

What I love about this approach is that it’s client-led.
The therapist isn’t forcing anything to happen.
We follow your system — your body’s cues, rhythms, releases, and moments of integration — with skill, precision, and deep presence.

This gives the body space to speak again.
And you begin to learn its language — the subtle signals, the sensations, the yes, the no, the truth of what you need.

CST works gently and precisely to:
• restore ease in the tissues
• release stored tension patterns
• support fluid movement
• reorganize the nervous system toward safety and steadiness

And this ties directly into my broader work —
because your leadership, creativity, clarity, and intuition all deepen when you can inhabit yourself fully.

When the body has space, your truth can move.
Your voice returns.
Your energy rises.
Your life aligns.

Not through effort.
Through remembering.

If you weren’t already aware, booking with your practitioner right after a training that inspired them is a great time to receive treatment.
