Elliott Center for Multiples Guided by Dr. John Elliott, the Elliott Center for Multiples helps mothers expecting multiples receive the best possible start to their lives together.

Each year, approximately 250 sets of quadruplets and 50 sets of quintuplets are delivered in the US. Many of these pregnancies result from infertility treatment, which can be challenging and costly for parents to endure. Following the joy of receiving the news that they are expecting multiple babies, parents are often given a steady stream of bad news from their OB or Perinatologist, including the likelihood of pregnancy complications, pre-term delivery, and birth defects in many or all of the babies. This negative messaging generally leads to the strong advice to selectively reduce the number of babies in the uterus—a medical procedure that also carries inherent risks. This worst-case scenario messaging leaves prospective parents distressed and disillusioned. The Elliott Center for Multiples provides a ray of hope amid what all too often has become of glass half empty approach to multiples. Most parents, whether they consider selective reduction or not, turn to the Internet to search for viable options and physicians who have the skill and experience to deliver high-order multiples. As their search ensues, these parents generally discover Dr. John Elliott, who is the one person who has not only delivered more quadruplets and quintuplets than any other OB or Perinatologist in the world, but who has also developed protocols and published papers on how to consistently achieve the best possible outcomes for expectant mothers and their babies. This discovery of Dr. Elliott has sometimes culminated in mothers temporarily moving to Dr. Elliott’s home state of Arizona at about week 18 during their pregnancy to be guided through their delivery by him. This trend, as well as the extraordinary outcome-based track record, puts Dr. Elliott and the Elliott Center for Multiples in a unique position to promise mothers expecting triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets and more that if they come to Arizona, they can be assured of giving their families the best possible start in life.
