Bontu Lucie Guschke: The Persistence of Sexism and Racism at Universities
, , and related social movements have over the last years
continuously shown us that sexism and racism persist in our societies, our workplaces, and
our universities and that we need to invest time, care, and resources into understanding
how they are reproduced. This presentation discusses how sexist and racist harassment
and discrimination are reproduced at universities.
Ali Ali: On Purpose- Solidarity by Accident or Design and the Generative
Ambiguity in Between
This lecture is about q***r (deviant and defiant) modes and methodologies of community
and communal projects. Drawing on ethnographic fieldwork within a support group that
mobilized for the rights and wellbeing of q***r exiles in Helsinki/Finland, I narrate and
analyze how dwelling on and in skepticism and ambiguity animates and vitalizes
imaginations and analyses.
