Your focus creates your reality….

I always hoped to live in the country one day… but our home and life was established in the inner city and the lifestyle change felt big and daunting.

Held back by limiting beliefs and all the reasons why it would be impossible at that time, I never allowed myself to put any more thought into it.

I won’t forget one particularly sunny Friday afternoon….feeling curious and drawn to a random property listing, I explored the faint vision of having horses in the back yard and Lucas living a country childhood at a dream school. Why not? Just looking…

But that one step out of the comfort zone into a new realm of possibilities put the wheels of flow into motion..

That property wasn’t the one but just 3 weeks later the offer was made on this little slice of country paradise…and a year and a half later, that once distant daydream is now reality ✨

A beautiful friend captured and created this little snapshot of happiness 🌾

When I watch it, I’m immediately transported to these moments…I can feel the balmy air, smell the sweet earth and sense the pure joy I felt along with the magical energy of my once in a lifetime horse.

Times have been heavy and reaching for my regulation practice has been daily, if not hourly. Often, the most effective tool to get out of being “in my sh*t”, as I eloquently call it, is to move into the somatic (felt) experience of a moment, vision or activity that brings joy…or happiness…or empowerment….whatever is the opposite of a mindset that is bringing you down.

Very grateful to this special horse for, in so many ways, carrying me through both the amazing and difficult days 🦄
