Let's remember why we started this movement. We began because Black women in the U.S. are 3x more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women. But 80% of these deaths are preventable.

An interesting way to learn more about these critical statistics and real stories is by watching the documentary Aftershock, available on Hulu. It’s a powerful way to understand maternal mortality and why we must take action.

Group B Strep (GBS) is a common bacteria that can live in the body without causing harm—but during pregnancy and birth, it can be dangerous for your baby.

🧪 That’s why prenatal GBS screening at 36–37 weeks is so important!
💉 If you test positive, treatment during labor can prevent serious infection.
👶 After birth, know the signs to watch for and trust your instincts.
