Catherine “Cathie” Eileen Wright, 75, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, surrounded by her beloved daughters and sons-in-law. Born June 21, 1950, in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was full of life, laughter, and faith, loving the Lord with all her heart.

A North Little Rock native, Cathie and her late husband, John H. Wright Jr., raised their daughters in Russellville before making their home in Heber Springs. It was here they opened a local business and she became a devoted member of First Baptist Church. She lived with grace, compassion, and unwavering love for her family, instilling kindness, strength, and faith in her daughters. After they were grown, she returned to her passion for helping others as a medical assistant at Dr. Lee Vaughn’s office until retirement, embracing her favorite role as “Gammie” to five treasured grandchildren.

Cathie loved traveling and creating memories with loved ones, especially her grandchildren, whether at rodeos, ballgames, or school events. Her warm smile and generous spirit touched everyone blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence F. and Charlene Walker (Williams); her husband, John H. Wright Jr.; and her in-laws, John H. and Mary Lou Wright. She is survived by her daughters, Robyn Wright of Heber Springs, Kristin (Gary) Euton of Heber Springs, and Katie (Lance) Cox of Quitman; grandchildren, Lexi and Lanie Euton, Halle, Carter, and John Cox; brother, Fred (Carolyn) Walker of Maumelle; sister, Melinda (Roy) Treat of North Little Rock; and her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Freddy and Diane Wright of Poyen, and Phil and Renee Wright of Russellville. She also leaves many treasured nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones whose lives were forever changed by her open home, love and graciousness.

Visitation will be Friday, 5:00–7:00 p.m., at Family Funeral Services. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with burial at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Margie’s Haven House, P.O. Box 954, Heber Springs, AR 72543, an organization dear to Cathie’s heart.
