Betty was a jolly good fellow whose charisma won a lot of friends who're moved to share deep secrets with her.
She was a chorister in her church and her angelic voice brings down the glory of God whenever she ministered in the pulpit.
Despite her good looks and successful career, Betty was fast approaching forty but has not settled down in marriage and neither has anyone in the circle of her female friends.
Any of her friends who tried to make a headway in that aspect mysteriously meets with a disappointment.
The pastor has prayed consistently
for the ladies, binding and casting every spirit of delay and disappointment all to no avail.
When Betty's sister-in-law angrily stormed the church in one of their midweek activities, accusing Betty of trying to rip her marriage with malicious lies, she was heavily chastised for assassinating the character of sister Betty who couldn't hurt a fly.
Nevertheless, when Betty's best friend Tonia struggled to find a man who's willing to lead her to the altar,
Betty was invited for the engagement party.
Sister Betty stole the show with her provocative outfit and was everywhere at the same time making sure that the party was a huge success.
Afterwards, Betty wrestled violently with her inner demons who were urging her to betray Tonia just the way she did to others.
After all, Tonia should not be getting off the hook of spinsterhood while her
good friend who's even older has not find a man of her own.
One week after the engagement party, Betty set out to meet and greet Tonia's fiance.
Within few minutes, she has successfully accomplished her mission merely with her tongue and gleefully went home to await the result.
When Tonia ran into her arms weeping brokenly over a breakup with Fred, Betty eagerly enveloped her in a warm embrace and soothingly offered words of consolation.
She stabbed her best friend at the back and gently pulled out the weapon leaving everlasting scars.
Somehow, Sister Betty and Tonia's ex fiance got romantically entangled and the relationship was swiftly taken to another level.
It was a low key wedding in which families and few friends were in attendance.
Tonia was mad when the wedding pictures leaked out and she saw her best friend walking down the aisle with a ravishing young man who's no other person but her ex fiance Fred.
She cried for days but eventually rein in her emotions hence the milk has already been spilt.
Betty happily entered a marriage whose foundation was built on the tears of others.
She tried her best to represent the biblical virtuous woman and generously gives to her in-laws to buy their love and acceptance.
Few months into the marriage, she took in and her joy knew no bounds for her age long dream of raising a family is about to materialize.
When the pregnancy has successfully moved out of the agonizing first trimester and Betty was preparing to announce her blessing to the world, she suddenly miscarried the pregnancy and cried bitterly for weeks.
The horrid situation occured over and over until the fifth times which nearly took her life and after her recuperation, the doctor announced that she has unfortunately developed a complication which has affected her chances of ever conceiving again.
Betty was in shock but when the reality finally sinks in, she ran from hospital to hospital spending fortunes but when all the results came out the same, she ventured from one prayer house to another binding and casting malignant forces trying to deprive her the joy of motherhood.
When it became obvious that she's not making any headway in her quest to bear a child, Betty opted to adopt a child but her in-laws stepped in this time and urged Fred to take another wife hence he's virile and could sire a heir from his own loins.
Betty fall into depression when she lost the battle and another woman was brought in to share a home which she painstakingly built from the scratch.
Already, she has invested a lot in the marriage, buying landed properties and other expensive things in the name of her husband in order to prove her love and loyalty.
The strange lady who came to enjoy her wealth conceived almost immediately and began to taunt her constantly with her beautiful baby bump.
The lady was insolent and verbally lashed out to Betty and whenever the later complained, Fred who's besotted with his new bride would advise her to endure or pack out.
When a heir is born and another soon followed, Betty who could no longer withstand the fire grilling her alive ran, abandoning everything in the hand of the strange woman.
Her deeds of yesteryears continued to haunt her and she died heartbroken and lonely in her father's house.
The basket she craftily weaved covered her up and she was able to savor the taste of the bitter meal she dished out to others.
