How does one tackle weight changes?

I have onced tried going to the gym and spending about 3hrs there = about 1hr of cardio, 1hr muscle work and then 1 hr of dancing. I burned a lot of unnecessary fat and gained good muscle tone then.

However, that was like 6 years ago!

Now, I need to get motivated to lose all these excess weight.
