The center provides diagnostic nuclear medicine scans like thyroid scan, renal DTPA/ DMSA scan, bone scan and so on.

Congratulations to our Dr. Suman Shrestha for being nominated as the ambassador for Oncidium Foundation.
Oncidium Foundation is a non-profit organization that promote, support and accelerate the development of radiotheranostics for cancer care worldwide.
We, the NCNM team, congratulate Dr. Suman for this achievement. He is also the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging USA’s future leaders academy graduate of the batch 2023, and fellow of Asian Nuclear Medicine Board 2022.
NCNM is committed to provide quality service of international standards to Nepalese patients. This branch of modern medicine has a long way to go but with the efforts of doctors like Dr. Shrestha, we are hopeful that we can get the fruit of this modern medicine here in Nepal as well.

Our doctor, Dr. Suman Shrestha, attended 1-hour long continuous professional development training about Thyroid Eye Diseases.

He shares the following message via his Facebook post
“यो १ १/२ वर्षको दौरानमा धेरै थाइराइड स्क्यान गर्न आउने बिरामीहरूमा आँखा अघि आएको जस्तो देखिने हरू धेरैको संख्यामा थिए । मुखबाट खाने औषधिले हाइपरथाइरोइडिज्म कन्ट्रोल भएन भने न्युक्लियर मेडिसिनको रेडियोआयोडिन उपचार गर्नुपर्ने हुन्छ । भर्खरै देखिन थालेकाहरू निको पनि हुन्छन् । केहि ढिला आउनेहरूलाई थप आँखा विशेषज्ञको उपचार आवश्यक पर्ने हुन्छ ।

धेरै नै ढिला भए जटिलताहरू निम्तिन्छन् । ति जटिलताहरू मध्ये एउटा आँखाको समस्या पनि हो, जुन समयमा पत्ता लगाएर विशेषज्ञको मा उपचार गर्न पठाउने गर्नुपर्छ ।

Our patients and referring physicians can rest assured that the patients are coming to the center that maintains global standards! Dr. Suman is the first nuclear medicine physician to be the fellow of Asian Nuclear Medicine Board and the only Nepalese physician to date. Moreover, he also graduated from the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, SNMMI’s future leaders academy. His leadership has been the key factor for the establishment of this center - first in Lalitpur and first GE premium SPECT of Nepal.
