Researching the GREENWOOD name globally, but starting small in the UK
I started researching my own Greenwood ancestry in 1997 and soon found that Greenwood's are a lot more common than I thought! After hitting the proverbial brick wall with my own research, I expanded my scope to include any Greenwoods resident in North London, and then a couple of years later added the whole of London when I next got stuck. Finally I’ve succumbed to collecting information on any UK Greenwood and registered my interest with the Guild of One Name Studies – this now means I’m officially collecting data on absolutely ANY Greenwood worldwide. Obviously any assistance in collecting this data and joining up family trees would be much appreciated! :-)
