✨ Who is a strong woman?✨
When I was little, the first women I knew were my mom and sister. My mom was strong but overwhelmed—juggling finances, responsibilities, and holding the family together. My sister was quiet and reserved. Back then, I thought, “I don’t want to be like either of them.”
As I grew up, I met more women who shaped my understanding of strength. One cousin was bold, intelligent, and full of dreams. I admired her deeply, but life had other plans—she was married off early, and her dreams faded. Another cousin was brilliant, got into medical school, and inspired me to dream of becoming a doctor. But after her marriage, she faced domestic violence. She endured it for years, believing it was her duty, until she finally left. It shook me. Was this what life had in store for even the brightest women?
In medical school, I was shy and unsure of myself. I looked up to confident women who spoke fearlessly and led with courage. I thought they had it all figured out. But years later, I learned many of them had silently battled domestic violence, mental health struggles, and even suicidal thoughts.
It made me question—what does it mean to be strong? Society often measures a woman’s worth by her ability to maintain a marriage, not by her dreams or achievements. But I’ve learned that strength isn’t about never falling—it’s about getting back up every time life knocks you down.
Today, I’m no longer that hesitant girl. I lead *Sachhi Saheli* on my own terms. I respect every woman who shaped my journey—my mom, my sister, my friends, my mentors. Their struggles became my lessons.
To every woman reading this: You are the strongest woman. 💪 Don’t look for idols—find strength within yourself. Know your worth, own your journey, and be the best version of YOU. 🌸
Happy Women’s Day! 💐
