Well, remember some time ago we had Time To Talk Day? That was a chance for thousands of people to have conversations about mental health, some for the very first time. Some talked about their own mental health, some about their friends' or family's mental health. We thought it would be good if people had that chance again, but more often, so the idea of Pop Up Chat Together was born. Basically, it's a Time To Talk Day, but every month. There's no membership, no agenda, no sign-up fee, no guest speakers, no booking your place ... it's not a 'group' in that sense. It's just a chance for people living with mental health issues, - whether it's your own, or someone else's - to hang out, have a cuppa (and cake) and chat - about anything. We are all people with experience of mental health - we’re not experts, we're just people who've been there, or are there right now - just like you. If needed, we can signpost people towards anything they might need, and perhaps you can help us with that too. So ... that's us. Hope you get what we're trying to do, and that you'll do it with us. Please, like this page, share it around , tell your friends and family about it ... and join us to Pop Up Chat Together. We meet in the back room at Palmer’s of Shrewsbury, in Claremont Street (near the Market Hall) on the first Saturday of every month, from 11:00 until 13:00. You don’t have to stay for the whole two hours - unless you want to,
Feel free to drop in and out as you wish. In addition to the monthly face to face meetings, we also have monthly online meetings, using Zoom. These are on the third Saturday of every month, from 11:00 until 12:00ish. Apart from local people, we also have folk from as far afield as Cambridgeshire and Peru join in - yes really !
