Such a mysterious thing, hard to explain to be honest. But in short it's a massage that moves your body.
Some say the experience is like Yoga without the effort, your joints get mobilised, knots get stretched and unwound.
Some people tell me they get flooded with a sense of calm, their mind goes quiet and time almost disappears. Encouraging a a deep meditative state.

It's not about the perfect pose!
It's about what you discover in the practice.
I've been modifying so much lately, not because I have pain or it hurts to do something, but because I keep injuring myself!
It's taken me almost 10 years of practicing Yoga and my whole life to learn just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
My sense of self (or ego) and identity in how I practice asana has been put under a microscope. It's like I am a beginner all over again. I literally cried in a class when I realized my patterns, literally tears rolling down my face in savasana.
I push myself to be my best on the mat, I push myself to be the best in life. My "best" me all the time.. exhausting. So this lock down I've been learning to f**k up, learning to laugh and be a beginner, to modify and go slow and to really listen to my body, not for pain, but listen for no reason other than to notice ♡
The journey is your whole life, the destination, well it's death. So enjoy the journey. You will mess up, break, crumble, smile, laugh, yell, cry and experience all of life. Happiness is not a destination, feeling bad is normal, detach from shoulds and just notice whats happening. You are exactly where you are supposed to be.

With the new moon upon us it's a great time to set some new intentions, or re-define old ones.
Ways to set intentions:
- Create a repeat phrase, or mantra.
think about what you want, then summarise it to a mantra, or phrase you can repeat to keep you coming back to your intention. Eg, Brene Brown has a beautiful one she uses for her intention of being authentic "Don't puff up, don't sink down, stand your sacred ground"
- Share your intention
With friends, but also out loud to your self daily
- Meditate on your intention
- Practice gratitude
- Visualise how you will feel with specifics and really feel it.
- Write it down & be specific

Yoga is my medicine

I’m passionate about teaching a safe and long-term practice, with a full body experience, including mind, body and when appropriate spirit. I have practiced yoga for the last 8 years (mainly vinyasa), I was introduced to it as a teenager to help with anxiety and I fell in love with it so much that I travelled to India at 18 to explore it’s birthplace and eventually decided to make it my career.
