Why we coach movement skills, not weight loss:
Weight loss MIGHT benefit you.
Movement skills ALWAYS benefit you.
Weight loss is not a behavior you have complete control over.
Movement is a behavior you can adjust to your needs, always.
And my favorite fact of all? đ Weight loss may offer about 15% lower risk of all-cause mortality (lots of variables so itâs hard to be precise with this number), but being consistently physically active in adulthood offers 30-40% lower risk of all-cause mortality. Translation: movement helps you more than double what weight loss might!
