Practised this morning at Ashtanga Yoga Essex with Jo Kemp and Rebecca Chapman who welcomed and took good care of me. The first time in a long time. I struggled with my ego and my fear of failure to get back to this practice. More than ever I need routine, regular and familiar practice to go alongside my personal practice. What a wonderful feeling, the first step back to what I know to be right for me

This is my daddy and my sister and I in 2008. The ravages of Parkinson’s had not gripped him yet. I am going to see him today in respite care. It breaks my heart. I want to hold his hand and run away with him. We want our dad and grandad back. To all those living with Parkinson’s disease I send my utmost respect and love. Surely one day there will be a cure for this cruel disease. My yoga practice keeps me strong, grounds me when I need settling and uplifts me when I am sad.
