This week, ICCP hosted 3 nights of mock interviews for fourth year pharmacy students from Purdue, Butler, and Manchester University applying for PGY1 residency. We are so grateful for the pharmacists who volunteered their time to conduct interviews and provide these students with feedback as they head into their interviews! Best of luck to those in the residency matching process.

ICCP AWARD/OFFICER NOMINATIONS INFO - PLEASE READ!

-- We are now taking nominations for the 2021 ICCP Tisdale Professionalism Award. Please review the award description below and consider nominating a deserving candidate. Nominations can be sent to indianacollegeofclinicalpharm@gmail.com. Once nominations have been collated, a link to vote will be sent out to members. The annual ICCP Tisdale Award is designed for an ICCP member and clinician who portrays excellence in clinical practice. The clinician strives to provide patient care, which optimizes medication therapy and promotes health, wellness, and disease prevention. The recipient should possess in-depth therapeutic knowledge, and experience for the purpose of ensuring optimal patient outcomes. In addition, the clinician shows empathy, passion, and genuinely cares for patients' wellbeing. The clinician promotes clinical pharmacy training to other practitioners and contributes substantially to the generation of new information that advances the profession of pharmacy and the science of medicine.

Hello everyone! We have exciting news - our (virtual) ICCP Resident CV/Letter of Intent Panel is officially a go. It will be next Thursday, September 30th from 6pm-7pm. Check out this flyer for more info!

We will have residents from a variety of PGY1 programs as well as PGY2s in psychiatric pharmacy, internal medicine, ambulatory care, and informatics! We are looking forward to seeing many of you there.

Congratulations to Lindsay Saum for the Tisdale 2020 award! Lindsay M. Saum, PharmD, BCPS, BGCP is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Butler University and an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Ascension-St. Vincent. Dr. Saum completed her doctorate of pharmacy from Butler University. Afterward, she completed a pharmacy practice residency at IU Health in Indianapolis, IN and a specialty residency in Geriatrics with Charleston Area Medical Center and West Virginia University in Charleston, WV. Since starting her career in 2011 at Butler and Ascension-St. Vincent, Dr. Saum has precepted numerous IPPE and APPE students, lectured in the therapeutics series and she coordinates electives in post-graduate training and internal medicine. For her precepting and mentorship, Dr. Saum has received the Dr. Terry L. Hageboeck Award from the 2016 and 2020 graduating classes at Butler University, the IPTeC program Mentor of the year in 2019 and the ACCP Adult Medicine PRN Mentor of the year for 2019. Dr. Saum has been an active member of ACCP and ICCP since 2011. She served as the ICCP secretary, president elect and president from 2014-2016, was treasurer/secretary for the ACCP Education and Training PRN from 2016 to 2018 and has spoken at the ACCP annual meeting. At her practice site, Dr. Saum has presented numerous pharmacology topics to the medical residents, as well as developed a pharmacotherapy mobile application for the internal medicine department.

• Virtual interview considerations
• Interview follow ups
• Salary negotiation dos and don’ts

Please join us in thanking Dr. Taylor Hibner for her incredible work as our 2019-2020 Resident Representative. Over the last year, she helped our organization in many ways. She created and managed our media presence. She assisted with many behind the scenes responsibilities for our events. And so much more! We are glad you are not going far and hope you stay connected with ICCP!

Taylor will be starting her role as an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist with Indiana University Health at the end of July. Thank you and congratulations on your new position!
