NOTE: with the new AI on Facebook, we need to be very careful with how you share supplies. Some posts are getting flagged and can have us shut down as a support group.

Please be cautious and don’t name them, show photos instead and maybe use symbols to help so we can still support each other with sharing but not get involved in what is not allowed.

Thank you!

Request for a Chilliwack, BC or surrounding Canadian area endo or adult who can help a newly diagnosed young adult who is having trouble getting support after a new diagnosis and no support after being released with ketones after a 3 day hospital stay and still having waking BG of 20. Things sound off and would appreciate someone with experience so a suggestion, Referal or anything would be appreciated.

Diabetes and Me & POKEDT1

We would like to create more awareness to help prevent DKA as 30% of newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetics are already in Diabetic KetoAcidosis which is a life threatening state due to the lack of awareness of the symptoms of type 1 diabetes. Catching the disease at an early stage can be as simple as a urine or routine blood check. This is critical before the symptoms build to a state where they become damaging to the brain, organs and ultimately can take a life.
