It's always nice to know I've done a good job for a family and they take the time to send such nice feedback. Thank you Sharon.

Good afternoon Jim
I would like to thank you so very much on behalf of myself and my family for the beautiful service you gave for Lynn.

We have had nothing but positive feedback from everyone who attended and some people asked if you were a friend of the family as they said you came across so warm and personal.
You captured Lynn perfectly and I will be for ever grateful to you for knowing how she was sent to rest with your words of kindness.
Many thanks again Jim, I really do appreciate all you have done.
Regards
Sharon

It's been a busy year and I have had the pleasure of working with so many lovely families from many different areas.

Every one of you opened your hearts to share so much about your loved ones with me no matter how difficult the situation. It was an honour and privilege to conduct every single service and I want to thank you all for having the confidence in me to deliver the right service for you.

Wishing you all best wishes for Christmas and new Year

Being a celebrant has to be one of the most rewarding jobs I've ever done especially when families I work with take the time to leave such kind feedback.

"Jim was the celebrant for my father in law's funeral service this week. He did a wonderful job of sensitively collecting stories and anecdotes from the family and crafting them into an excellent description of the life story and character of my father in law.

He conducted the ceremony with warmth, sensitivity and some humour, allowing space for sad reflection of our loss but also happy memories and celebration of a life well lived, which is the tone that the family had been hoping for.

Many of the attendees told us what a good service it had been and the family agreed. We are thankful to Jim for making a difficult time a little easier, for the kindness he showed and for helping us focus on happy memories of a much loved Husband, Dad, Grandpa and friend"

Always nice to get feedback from a family. This was from the family of a much loved local lady. Thank you Liz for your kind words.

Hi Jim,
Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the service this morning. You got mum to a tee. The amount of people who commented on the service and you of course was amazing, as if you knew her personally.
Thank you once again
Liz

I conducted a service last week for a lady from the Lanark farming community. This song that was chosen for the committal track which is a cover of the Tom Walker & Red Hot Chilli Pipers song Leave A Light On. An amazing cover by Bagri who are all members of the local Lesmahagow Young Farmers Association. It is in aid of a campaign called Are Ewe OK? to help support members of the agricultural community who are finding life tough.

The aim is for friends to leave a light on for them if they find themselves in dark times. A worthy cause, a beautiful cover version and it was very fitting as I am sure the ladies family will always leave a light on in their hearts for her too.

Performed By: Bagri - (Vocals: Neve Crooks & Mia Crooks- Bagpipes: Tom Armstrong, Douglas Pinkerton & Fraser Russell- Snare Drum: John Pinkerton- Highland Da...

It's always nice to get feedback from a family after I've conducted their loved ones service and had a couple of really nice messages in the last week heres the first one.

Hi Jim, what can I say, I can only tell you that my Dad's service is without a shadow of a doubt the best funeral service I have ever heard. I have never heard as much laughter mingled with tears ever before at such an occasion. The amount of people that complimented you on leaving was amazing, some already wanting to book you before they die🤣🤣🤣. I can only convey our heartfelt thanks because what a perfect send off and I wouldn't change it if I did it all again tomorrow. Thanks again, Mandy and Elsie

10 years ago today I met my comedy hero Sir Billy Connolly in Glasgow. He was
A true gent and spent 10 minutes chatting. I told him I'd always wanted to try stand up and he told me to go and do it, otherwise I'd always regret it. I did just that when I took the Viv Gee comedy course. It was the start of 10 years of happy times. 400 odd gigs, starting hosting Tennents Comedy Basement for 3 and a half years with Calum Wark then onto The Drygate for another night them on to establish Crieff Comedy Festival with Derek Allan.
After meeting Patrick Rolink at a charity gig I organised in Lanark, he then inspired me to go into funeral celebrancy. He put me in touch with Robert Ryan who allowed me to watch him conduct a funeral in Helensburgh and he did such an amazing job that on my return home I signed up for my celebrant course and spent 5 days training.
An amazing chain of events that all led from that chance meeting with The Big Yin and 5 years later I am still working with grieving families to help them through the process of saying their last goodbyes to their loved ones.
Cheers Billy, Viv, Calum, Patrick and Robert, you all played your part in allowing me to do one of the best jobs in the world.

It's always nice to get feedback after a service and this was from a service last week for a much loved man who passed suddenly at work. Thank you Colin for your kind words.

"What a heartbreaking afternoon. Saying goodbye to my big cousin. Standing with his family as they try and obsorb this awful tragedy and contemplate saying goodbye. Brutal isn't the word.

What a beautiful service that was though. When I heard that Jim McCreadie was delivering the service... I relaxed a little. I knew my broken family was in the safest of hands. Jim's been a pal for a good few years now... he's also a comic and our neighbour. Top bloke. I have never seen him deliver a funeral before.

He delivered a beautiful service. He brought real comfort. I could see it and feel it.

God forbid you need his services in this regard... but if you do... Jim is in a class of his own.

I'm grateful Jim, thank you so much!"

Another nice piece of feedback from a service from last week. Thank you for your kind words Dermot.

Jim, thanks so much for today, maybe you'll never know how great it was, you have a gift that's hard to put into words. My family and friends to a person, spoke about your talents. I can only thank you from their bottom of my heart, your words and importantly the way you said it were amazing. You made it special, every single person spoke highly of you, and I have high 'falooting" pals, the QC and my MD thought you were amazing. You need to increase you prices and become the Messi of speeches.

Always nice to get feedback from families I have worked with and wanted to share a couple in here. Thanks Lynne for taking the time to write.

Hi Jim

Firstly I just want to thank you for capturing mum perfectly yesterday. You spoke as though you truly did know mum and the extra personal touches were massively appreciated.

I also wanted to let you know that everyone commented on how lovely you spoke. I haven’t heard that at a funeral before. Mum would definitely have loved it as did we.

You spoke as tho you truly DID know mum and it made a painful time for us a little more bearable. Thank you so much

Thanks again Jim and take care

Warmest Wishes
Lynne
