This week, we’re getting practical with two tools that will aid in holiday self care.

Tool #2 🎁 The Boundary Script

The holidays often mean navigating family dynamics, social obligations, and subtle (or not-so-subtle) pressure to show up in ways that drain you.

❄️ Here’s what we want you to know: saying “no” isn’t selfish. It’s sacred.

When you protect your energy, you’re actually giving yourself the gift of showing up more authentically where you do choose to be present.

✨Try These Boundary Scripts:

- “Thank you so much for the invitation. I’m keeping my schedule lighter this year, but I appreciate you thinking of me.”

- “I’d love to see you, but I can only stay for [timeframe]. I know you’ll understand.”

- “I’m getting overbooked this season, and I know I’ll have so much more time to connect with you in the New Year. Let’s do that!”

Tool #3 🎁 The Overindulgence Check-In

Before going for more or saying yes to another commitment, pause and ask:

- “Am I doing this because I genuinely want to, or because I’m trying to numb/please/escape?”

No judgment, stay conscious and aware. That pause is where your power lives.

This Holiday Season, we’re sharing ‘12 Tools for When the Holidays Get Hard’ 🎁. Even though the holiday season is be joyful and bright, you can still feel stressed and overwhelmed. We have tools that will support you through this contradictory season.

🎁 Tool #1: The Awareness Practice

Before you can change how the holidays feel, you first need to honor what’s actually true for you right now.

Think of autumn as your guide. The trees don’t apologize for letting go - they simply release what no longer serves them. You can do the same with expectations, old patterns, and the pressure to feel a certain way.

Try This Journaling Prompt (We suggest doing this daily.)💡 “This holiday season, I’m feeling... (let yourself write whatever comes up, without judgment)”

Notice and be curious about how your feelings and emotions can change from day to day, without judgment.

The simple act of naming your feelings, the beautiful ones AND the hard ones, creates space for something new to emerge.
