This Holiday Season, we’re sharing ‘12 Tools for When the Holidays Get Hard’ 🎁. Even though the holiday season is be joyful and bright, you can still feel stressed and overwhelmed. We have tools that will support you through this contradictory season.
🎁 Tool #1: The Awareness Practice
Before you can change how the holidays feel, you first need to honor what’s actually true for you right now.
Think of autumn as your guide. The trees don’t apologize for letting go - they simply release what no longer serves them. You can do the same with expectations, old patterns, and the pressure to feel a certain way.
Try This Journaling Prompt (We suggest doing this daily.)💡 “This holiday season, I’m feeling... (let yourself write whatever comes up, without judgment)”
Notice and be curious about how your feelings and emotions can change from day to day, without judgment.
The simple act of naming your feelings, the beautiful ones AND the hard ones, creates space for something new to emerge.
