Get ready to make this holiday season full of fun AND learning with our 12 Days of Speech Challenge! These simple, daily activities are perfect for strengthening your child’s speech and language skills while embracing the holiday spirit. Start today and count down to Christmas Eve. Let’s make the holidays a time for learning, connection, and joy.

Day 1: Name 5 holiday items in your house (e.g., tree, ornaments, candles).
Day 2: Practice saying, “Thank you for the gift!” or another polite phrase.
Day 3: Sing a favorite holiday song and practice clear pronunciation.
Day 4: Count the decorations on your Christmas tree or around the house.
Day 5: Try this tongue twister: “Santa’s sleigh slides silently through the snow.”
Day 6: Describe your favorite holiday treat in 3 sentences.
Day 7: Take turns asking and answering, “What’s your favorite holiday tradition?”
Day 8: Name as many reindeer as you can—ready, set, go!
Day 9: Practice saying hello to family members: “Hi, Merry Christmas!”
Day 10: Point out objects around the room and say what color they are.

Try this tip: Practice saying:
