Let’s look at the big picture of detoxification. I’ve dealt with toxins in my own body and I've found these to be the four steps to detox:
1. Avoid
Avoidance is the least sexy way to detox but the most important! If you can avoid toxins from getting in your body, it’s a whole lot easier than trying to get them out of your body later.
You can’t 100% avoid toxins, but you can greatly reduce your exposure. The biggest source of exposure are in your home, where you spend the most time. So we’ll focus there in the training to come.
2. Support
Your body already knows how to detox. The organs of detoxification- kidneys, skin, liver and intestines- need nutrition, rest, movement and hydration to do their jobs.
You are probably already doing a lot of things right in this category, but there are tweaks you can make to process toxins like a champ.
3. Mobilize
Mobilization includes things like the morning drink I taught you earlier, chelation therapy, sauna therapy, colon hydrotherapy, lymphatic massage and more.
Mobilization is all about getting toxins out of their hiding places so your body can remove them. But you absolutely have to honor the other steps, or you are wasting your efforts, and possibly endangering your health. We’ll talk more about the dangers of certain detox programs in future emails, so stay tuned.
4. Bind
Toxin binders are substances that bind with toxins either through their web-like structure or through a negative charge. They include things like clays, charcoal and ionic foot baths.
Binders also need to be used with caution, so don’t run out and buy any yet! We’ll cover how to use them in future articles.
There are companies that have toxic free products. Here is one example:

Before we opened our doors on September 1, 1985, our founder, Frank VanderSloot, established our Mission Statement. This was to make sure that our focus is always on helping people rather than the typical corpor...
