Here’s why I detox all the time… 😲

My body is very slow at detoxing so I tend to accumulate a lot of toxins 🦠
This translates into being really bothered by synthetic smells, car exhaust, but I also quickly see it on my skin getting less clear, breakouts, feeling sluggish, tired, muscle aches, bloating…
So I’m basically feeling pretty meh if I don’t help my body get rid of the toxins all the time.

That’s partly because of my genetics, past mold exposure, but also the high toxic load in our water and food - we can't actually stay clear from these toxins anymore 😱😱😱

So THE ONLY SOLUTION really is to reduce the toxic burden on our bodies as much as possible.
If you want to learn my best detox techniques that I’m using daily AND do a real cleanse in a group setting, consider joining our Detox Wellness Retreat in November => Check out the last slide for more details!

I've come across this post that fits in very well with the dilemma we're currently facing everywhere: toxin 🦠 overwhelm and not knowing what to buy anymore to escape! 😩

I honestly was discouraged when I saw this title, but when I actually looked at the study in detail, it became obvious that the problem is not the glass, but the metal caps used to seal the bottles (therefore mainly soft drinks and beer are concerned).

‼️In this specific study, bottled water in glass showed very low microplastic levels. ‼️

So don't let yourself be fooled by these things - always double-check the data source and read the study 🤓 (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jfca.2025.107719 )

So you’ve seen that mold can be that invisible thing that makes you sick - I like to call it phantom symptoms - you feel horrible but you don’t know why and nobody seems to be able to explain where it’s coming from - so it must be stress right (ok let’s not go there…)🙄

➡️ Check out the slides to learn why mold makes you sick, what are typical symptoms and what I have done to finally feel better 🙏(it’s been a pretty long journey I have to admit 🤨)

Mold comes in many different types, but not all of them make you sick. The most harmful kinds are the ones that produce something called mycotoxins, which are toxic chemicals
🦠 that can mess with your health.

I’m starting to understand how common this actually is in Belgium and also in the UK, as I uncover it for many clients.

🙌 This is why I thought it’s time to share a bit more information on this topic! Check out my blog to read about my own experience with mold (see graphic for link)

For me it’s out of the question that I will eat anything being served to me on a plane, plus I don’t have to wait for the service and can sleep when I want to. 🙂

On highway stops or train stations it’s often the same: you won’t find 🧐 any grass-fed, free range, wild caught protein options nor much offering of fresh veggies or low sugar snacks.

So even if you’re not as picky as me, having some healthy snacks with you surely can’t hurt plus it will keep the travel tummy troubles away.

As promised, here are 8 simple steps that can help you improve your digestion and hence nutrient absorption 🙌

1️⃣ Sit Down When you Eat & Chew Your Food Thoroughly
2️⃣ Eat Raw Foods AM & Cooked Foods PM
3️⃣ Eat Regular Meals
4️⃣ Incorporate Digestive Enzymes or Bitters
5️⃣ Practice Stress-Reduction Techniques
6️⃣ Stay Hydrated
7️⃣ Eat Fiber-Rich Foods
8️⃣Consider Probiotics and Fermented Foods

Ok this can be a lot to change at a time…
Start small: chew your food thoroughly, add fiber to your meals, or try a fermented food this week. Each step brings you closer to feeling your best.

How Optimizing Digestion 💩Can Reduce the Need for HRT

When your digestion is working optimally:
✔️Your body can naturally regulate hormone levels more effectively.
✔️Nutrient absorption improves, providing the building blocks for hormone production.
✔️Liver detoxification processes become more efficient, reducing symptoms like hot flashes, bloating, fatigue, and mood swings.

For example, many women find that improving gut health reduces 🔥hot flashes and restores their energy. 💪

I’ve seen it over and over in clients who are taking HRT- that they are going through a period of stress and their symptoms are coming back

Improving digestion might not be the first thing you think of when addressing hormonal symptoms, but it’s a game-changer. By supporting your gut, you’re giving your body the tools it needs to balance hormones naturally and boost your energy levels.

Medicinal Mushrooms for Perimenopause Symptoms?

👉 Check out the slides to see what medicinal mushrooms can do for you in perimenopause
When used in high concentration, medicinal mushrooms can support hormone balance, digestion, and stress. 🧘🏻‍♀️

⚠️ Just make sure you choose an organic, third-party tested brand. Mushrooms can soak up heavy metals or mold if they’re not properly grown.

Yes, fruit is natural - but that doesn’t mean it’s always blood sugar friendly 🍓🍌

During perimenopause, your body becomes more insulin resistant, which means even healthy sugars can leave you foggy, bloated, and craving more.

This post breaks down how to make smarter fruit choices and what really helps balance your blood sugar for more stable energy, moods & hormones 🙌

Save this one to refer back to before your next fruit bowl 🍇
