The Clock Over Calories
For decades, we have been told to focus on what we eat if we want to lose weight, but is it possible that when we eat is just as important? New research tells us the answer to that question is a resounding YES!
If we really want to maximize our weight loss efforts, it’s time to pay attention to our clocks as much as our calories.
Facts & Stats:
• Short-term fasting reduces insulin levels and body fat1
• Intermittent fasting improves the metabolism and reduces our risk of obesity2
• Fasting and calorie restriction allow the cells to cleanse and detoxify naturally3
In today’s world, most of us have food available all day long, but were our bodies really designed for sun-up to sun-down food consumption? For millions of years, gathering food was a daily chore and there were no drive-thrus or convenience stores offering effortless meals and snacks any time of the day. While most of us don’t wish to go back to the days of hunting and gathering, it’s important to be mindful of the price we could be paying for these modern conveniences.
Munching from the time we wake up until the time we go to bed is taking a big toll on our blood sugar balance, our waistlines, and our overall health.
On the other hand, narrowing the time frame in which we consume food has far reaching benefits. Ensuring a longer stretch of time between dinner and our first meal the following day allows for a short-term fasting period with far reaching benefits. Studies show it helps us burn more fat and it can improve insulin sensitivity which aids in blood sugar balance.
Beyond weight loss, eating within a narrower timeframe each day, helps support our body’s natural detoxication processes. The natural processes by which our cells cleanse and repair themselves is optimized when we go for a longer period of time without eating. Our entire body seems to benefit when we take a break from perpetual snacking and let it rest.
It is often called Intermittent Fasting, but we like to call it an Eating Window to keep our focus on when to eat rather than when not to eat. In the Guidebook that accompanies our new Weight Loss System, we teach you how to narrow your eating window in a way that is comfortable and sets you up for long term success.
Resisting the constant temptations to snack may seem impossible to some, but the appetite control products from The Happy Co. are here to help! Adding one or more of our functional beverages and the Elevate MAX®+ Energy Caps to your daily routine can help you go longer between meals and snacks, often without even realizing it! Appetite control is one of the most reported benefits noticed by our Customers.
Narrowing your eating window by going a little longer between dinner and breakfast the next day is a valuable tool that you will find helpful in controlling cravings, optimizing your energy and helping you quickly reach your weight loss goal.
