I'm a registered General Medical Practitioner working in Sexual Health with a special interest in libido and gender affirming healthcare. I obtained my Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBChB) degree from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and have a postgraduate Diploma in HIV Management from the Colleges of Medicine South Africa. I'm the Founder of Libido Academy, an online course for women

with low libido who are tired of feeling broken and want to look forward to s*x again. I’m an Executive Board Member, Gauteng Provincial Treasurer & Head of Media for The Southern African Sexual Health Association (SASHA), Member of the Professional Association for Transgender Health South Africa (PATHSA), a Member of the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS), and was nominated as one of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s 120 Under 40 International Family Planning Leaders for 2019. I contributed to the book A Celebration of V***a Diversity by The V***a Gallery as the medical expert for the project. In this book, I addressed common questions and debunked myths surrounding Sexual Health. I've also contributed to numerous local and international blogs, websites, radio shows and podcasts as a Sexual Health Expert. I believe that everyone should have access to compassionate, inclusive healthcare. That's why I offer accessible and confidential virtual consultations for women and the LGBTQIA+ community across South Africa. Just a friendly reminder that I am still providing gender affirming healthcare services, including hormone therapy, both online and in-person in Northcliff, Johannesburg.

I've had many enquiries from patients and the public concerned about whether gender affirming care is still available in SA. I want to reassure you that services in the private health sector continue uninterrupted.

USAID funding has been vital for NGOs that have been providing free services for those who need it for many years. This is a devastating blow for the entire community.

I recently completed the Transgender Medicine for General Medical Providers training by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

I find it helpful to do trainings from a range of different organisations to get a well rounded education and make sure I'm not missing anything! 🤓
