Over the past six months, teams of Aflac employees have volunteered at Feeding the Valley Food Bank, part of the Feeding America network, to help provide nearly 45,000 meals for children and adults living with food insecurity in the Chattahoochee Valley in Georgia and Alabama — over 53,800 pounds of food so far this year.

We're endlessly inspired by Feeding the Valley's life-changing work to eradicate hunger. And we're proud to roll up our sleeves alongside them in service of stronger, nourished communities.

Meet some of the customer care specialists that help policyholders calling in with a cancer diagnosis.

“Sometimes when you’ve been diagnosed with a disease like cancer, you just want to talk to a human,” says Keith Farley, senior vice president, Individual Voluntary Benefits at Aflac.

Last year, we introduced a dedicated cancer line to help policyholders get access to specialized support quickly. The team was hand-selected to assist with questions about policies, documents and procedures, so we can be there for our customers during their most critical time of need.

Aflac! 94% of you know who we are. The truth is that very few of you know exactly
what we do. My name is Ashley and for the next few minutes, I will explain why more than 50 million people around the world believe AFLAC is the answer.
The answer to what? We are living in unique times--times were families all across
this country are living paycheck to paycheck
now more than ever. Like the mother
sitting in the hospital waiting room because her 14 year old daughter is going
through her first round of chemotherapy. Or that dad who just got injured and is
the sole provider for his family, wondering how he's going to be able to provide for
his family and pay his bills now that he can't work for the next six weeks.
You see not many people know what we do, but what we do is simple. We are
here for you when you need us most.
The easiest way for me to explain to you what AFLAC is, is to explain what it's not.
Aflac is not major medical insurance; It's insurance for daily living. Major medical
pays for doctors and hospitals. Aflac pays you. You can use the money however you
see fit. It's completely up to you!
Let me tell you three things that happen to a family ... when the unexpected occurs.
First, you've got those out-of-pocket medical expenses. Regardless of how great your
medical insurance, it's not going to cover 100% of the cost.
The second thing that's going to happen is that the meter at home doesn't stop
spinning. On top of out of pocket medical expenses, you still have daily living
expenses that come in the form of groceries, utility bills, car payments, rent and
mortgage. In fact, some say the meter feels like it's spinning twice as fast.
The third thing is the worst of all. Lost income. Let me ask you a question:
