ಆಹಾರವೇ ಔಷಧ

ಹಿಂದಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯವಾದಾಗ ಅಡುಗೆ ಮನೆಯೇ ಔಷಧಾಲಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅಜೀರ್ಣ, ಜ್ವರ, ಶೀತ , ಕೆಮ್ಮು, ನೆಗಡಿಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧ ಔಷಧ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಡುಗೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಜೀರಿಗೆ, ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ, ಕಾಳುಮೆಣಸು, ನೀರುಳ್ಳಿ, ಬೆಳ್ಳುಳ್ಳಿ ಮುಂತಾದ ಆಹಾರವಸ್ತುಗಳೇ ಔಷಧಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅಜೀರ್ಣ ಆದರೆ ಒಂದು ಮಾತ್ರೆ.. ಜ್ವರಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು.. ಶೀತ, ಕೆಮ್ಮಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೊಂದೆರಡು!! ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಔಷಧವೇ ಆಹಾರವಾದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಔಷಧ ಸೇವಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಆಗುವ ಅಡ್ದ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳೂ ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿವೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಅಂತಹ ಔಷಧಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವಲಂಭನೆ ಕಡಿಮೆಗೊಳಿಸಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನೇ ಔಷಧವಾಗಿಸಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವೇ ಈ ಚಾನೆಲ್ ಆಹಾರವೇ ಔಷಧ
