Actually Autistic Advocacy - Augusta, GA Autistic advocacy and information page for the Augusta, GA area. Maintained by actual Autistics.

Augusta Actually Autistic Advocacy is an Autistic-run page in the Augusta, GA area. We seek to further non-autistic understanding of Autistic issues and Autistic ways of experiencing the world. We welcome non-autistic (allistic) parents, siblings, friends, spouses, and children from all areas and hope that you're able to learn a bit about our perspectives and challenges via the postings on this page! We also have a Facebook support group available for our local Autistic neurosiblings (or neurosiblings with autism) who would like to meet other Augusta Autistics online in a support capacity. Services for older Autistic teens and adults are often non-existent and as we get older we often benefit from community support and connecting with others who can relate to our challenges. Our goal for the group is to provide at least a space within which to find that sort of local support. If you are in or near the Augusta, GA area and are either diagnosed or strongly suspect that you might be Autistic; please message us through this page if you are interested in being added to the group.
