I'm a wife and Mom of 2 littles who works full time outside the home. After the birth of each of my babies I struggled to find myself again and feel good in my body. This past year I've been on a personal transformation to get healthy in mind, body, spirit, and relationships. My kids and I LOVE banana bread, but depending on your recipe it can be pretty un-healthy! So here’s how I make it healthiER without sacrificing taste.

The recipe I use calls for 1 3/4 C flour. I do 1C AP flour and then 3/4 Whole Wheat flour. Whole wheat flour is richer in fiber, vitamins, and minerals than white flour.

Really let those bananas get brown!! The more aged the banana the more sweet it is, so you can reduce the amount of sugar.

I add pecans or walnuts, whichever I happen to have, for added protein and a healthy fat.

Consider using Greek yogurt as a partial replacement for butter, as it adds moisture and protein.

Trust me, my kids didn’t even notice when I started making these changes. They just gobble it up!!

Here’s how I make my Sloppy Joes healthiER.
🍖 I use ground venison when we have it, but you can use a lean ground beef or even ground turkey.
🫑 I add onion, bell pepper, celery, sometimes carrot, and garlic. Dice it up nice and fine (or even purée it) if you think it will bother picky eaters.
🍞 Most times I skip the bun or choose a whole wheat bun instead.

You don’t have to skip out on the foods you enjoy. Look for healthier swaps that don’t sacrifice taste.

Tonight’s 28 minute dinner was a hit. I went old school with one of my Pampered Chef cookbooks and found this Orecchiette with Spinach, Sausage, and Tomatoes. It has 22g of protein and 6g of Fiber per serving. Switch it up with whole wheat pasta to increase that even more. Link to the recipe is in my story. Enjoy!!

I first heard about these peptides through my friend Holly. She’s conscious of what she puts in her body, like I am, and she always finds the best things. She shared with me that she was having more energy, less brain fog, and less bloating, and I was intrigued. I could tell she was so much more vibrant, and I wanted to experience that myself, so I grabbed 3 products to try (lean, fit, and hydrated). I immediately felt hopeful that these could be what helped me with my mental space, and feeling better in my clothes. When I first tasted fit & hydrated, I knew it would be easy to incorporate into my daily routine because it tasted good and was just easy. I’ve found that when a habit is enjoyable, it’s a lot easier to stick with.

After just 30 days on lean, fit, and hydrated, I already began to notice changes. People noticed my face was less puffy. I committed to myself that I would continue for a minimum of 90 days, and I’m so so glad I did. I’ve been doing ALL the things to deal with my perimenopause symptoms but these have been the game changer.

Here’s some progress pics from other people I’ve met in the community I’ve joined. You guys— people are genuinely changing their lives with these new healthy habits 🥹 Seeing people become less restricted, more hopeful, and be more active moms and dads, is really inspiring me. I love the way I feel on these peptides and I’m excited to keep going!

You have to try this Protein Berry Crumble!

1C fresh or frozen berries
1/2t corn starch
1/2t Vanilla extract
2 packets sugar substitute

1/3C oats
1T pure maple syrup
1 serving vanilla protein powder
1/2t cinnamon
1-2T water

Mix first 4 ingredients together and microwave for 1 minute (fresh berries) or 1 1/2 minutes for frozen

Meanwhile mix remaining 5 ingredients

Pour topping over berries and microwave an additional 1 minute.
Top with Coco Whip, fresh whipped cream, and enjoy!!
